Inspiring Conversations with Christopher Regis of Suntek Franchising

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Regis.

Christopher, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born in the US but grew up in Brazil. My father was a very fascinating man, someone that I always looked up to and he was the true definition of an entrepreneur. I grew up seeing him start several very exciting businesses and today I realize how influential he was in my life.

I have always enjoyed sales and early in my career I worked with Xerox and Ford in California then I moved with my family to Florida to become part-owner of a Light-Sport Aircraft manufacturing group. Eventually, I got involved with Real Estate in Miami then we moved to Orlando to start my own Real Estate/Business and Franchise Brokerage firm.

But deep inside, I always wanted to create my own franchise model and finally, that dream came true about 5 years ago when I launched Suntek Zero Emission Land Care in Lake Nona, just outside of Orlando, FL.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Hell no, not smooth at all, Napoleon Hill said it best “Patience, persistence, and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.” The vision and mission must be crystal clear and compelling otherwise it’s very easy to give up when things get hard.

In the beginning, we struggled with learning the industry, hiring experienced technicians specially given the situation of the tight labor market and also raising the money for expansion.

We’ve been impressed with Suntek Franchising LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We eliminated the #1 problem in the WORLD with yard maintenance, NOISE! Everyone hates the noise from loud gas-powered leaf blowers and gas-powered tools in general.

We created an all-electric lawn maintenance franchise that uses vans with a patent-pending solar roof that captures solar energy and powers all of the electric tools inside our vans thus reducing all noise, toxic fumes, and pollution. We are most proud that we are impacting our people, planet and our customer’s quality of life.

Our people because they no longer have to breathe in toxic fumes that can make them sick, planet because our tools do not leak or spill gas and chemicals and our customers because now they can enjoy a beautiful yard and a peaceful home at the same time.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
To me, as the leader of Suntek taking care of our people matters most, because in life you get what you put out.
