Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Recine.
Hi Danielle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Opening my own pediatric dental practice has been a dream since dental school. Before taking that step, I worked in several pediatric practices across multiple states, giving me the opportunity to care for children with a wide range of needs and experiences. More than five years ago, I settled in Central Florida, a place that has always felt close to my heart after spending many of my childhood days visiting my grandparents in Cocoa Beach. Building City Beautiful Pediatric Dentistry here felt like the most natural and meaningful next chapter.
Since opening, the practice has grown into a space where evidence-based dentistry, empathy, and a true family-centered approach all come together. Our growth has been rooted not just in the services we provide, but in the relationships we build with the families we serve.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were some personal struggles related to building our family (fertility struggles) but we are now blessed to have two beautiful children.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
City Beautiful Pediatric Dentistry
City Beautiful Pediatric Dentistry was created with a clear vision: to offer a pediatric dental home where children feel safe, parents feel supported, and families feel genuinely cared for. As a mom-owned, family-centered practice in Orlando’s SoDo District, we blend clinical excellence with emotional safety, modern design, and an unwavering commitment to inclusivity.
Our foundation is simple. Every child deserves a dental experience that works with their individual and unique needs.
What We Do and What We’re Known For
We provide comprehensive pediatric dental care from infancy through adolescence with an emphasis on gentle, relationship-based, parent-inclusive dentistry. Our services include preventive and restorative dentistry for children of all ages, infant frenectomies using the LightScalpel CO₂ laser for lip, tongue, and buccal ties, and first dental visits that build confidence and set the foundation for lifelong oral health.
Parents are welcome to remain chairside during cleanings, exams, and routine visits. During surgical or laser procedures, we follow required safety and sterile protocols, which may involve asking parents to step just outside the room. Even then, we ensure that families remain fully informed and supported throughout the entire process.
We support children with dental anxiety and those who have experienced previous traumatic dental visits. Our environment is sensory-considerate, offering weighted stuffies, sunglasses, fidget tools, quiet spaces, and patient-led pacing.
Although we are not exclusively a neurodivergent-focused practice, we are well known for providing compassionate, flexible accommodations for children on the autism spectrum, children with ADHD, children with sensory processing differences, children with anxiety, and children with other unique needs. We do not use physical restraint in our practice. Instead, we prioritize emotional safety, patient-led pacing, and a collaborative approach with parents. Our goal is always to adapt to each child rather than expecting the child to adapt to us.
Accessibility and Insurance Options
We are a PPO-friendly office, which means we are in network with most PPO dental insurance plans. We submit claims for families as a courtesy and always offer transparent estimates before appointments, so there are no surprises.
For families without dental insurance or those who are out of network, we offer competitive self-pay rates and are rolling out a membership plan designed to make high-quality pediatric dentistry more accessible.
We believe that expanding access to care should never require sacrificing the quality of care, and we are committed to providing options that support both accessibility and excellence.
What Sets Us Apart
City Beautiful Pediatric Dentistry is shaped by lived experience. Dr. Danielle brings both her professional expertise as a pediatric dentist and her personal experience as a mother who has navigated the same infant and child challenges many of our families face, particularly with lip and tongue ties and feeding difficulties. This dual perspective informs every aspect of our care.
Our practice stands out for its gentle and inclusive approach, its thoughtful and modern design that blends comfort with clinical excellence, and its commitment to emotional and sensory safety. We value transparency and collaboration with parents, and we maintain strong partnerships with lactation consultants, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, pediatricians, and postpartum providers throughout Central Florida. The environment we create is truly family-centered, from our Pac-Man arcade to our sensory kits, prize wall, and social media wall.
We are proud to have contributed articles, hosted events, and participated in podcasts with trusted parent communities including Orlando Mom Collective, the Central Florida Birth Network, and a wide range of maternal and pediatric professionals. We are also honored to have been featured in Orlando Magazine’s “Faces of Orlando” as The Face of Pediatric Dentistry.
What We Want Families to Know
City Beautiful Pediatric Dentistry is more than a dental office. It is a place where children feel seen, respected, understood, and celebrated. It is a place where parents feel empowered, included, and never rushed. It is a place where babies through teens receive individualized and compassionate care, and where both neurodivergent and neurotypical children can access sensory-friendly accommodations.
Emotional safety is valued as highly as clinical skill. Access to care is expanded through insurance partnerships, clear self-pay rates, and our membership plan.
Above all, we want families to know that they do not have to choose between excellent pediatric dentistry and a calm, emotionally supportive experience. At City Beautiful Pediatric Dentistry, they receive both.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up in New York City definitely shaped me. I was the classic book-loving kid who genuinely enjoyed school and could spend hours reading. I was pretty shy early on, but as I went through high school, college, and dental school, I really came out of my shell. Each step helped me build confidence and become more outgoing and sure of myself. That journey taught me a lot about empathy, growth, and meeting people where they are: things I carry into my work with families every single day.
