Inspiring Conversations with Enock Martimer of Legacy Alliance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Enock Martimer.

Hi Enock, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a Central Florida native! I have lived in the Orlando/Kissimmee my whole life. My father immigrated from Haiti in the late 70s with my mother and siblings following behind in the early 90s. My parents had me in 1995 in their mid-forties. So, you can say I was definitely a surprise. Growing up I would say we were lower middle class, with my dad being the only one working. My mom stayed home to raise me. She did little things here and there like selling merchandise and babysitting to help out with bills. I didn’t grow up like most kids. I didn’t have the newest shoes or the newest toys/games out. I made do with what we had and it was good because my parents did the best they could. I was given the best they had and I will always appreciate that. Growing up, I never really liked school, but I enjoyed socializing with other kids and having fun at school activities. Once I graduated high school, I decided I would go to school to become a physical therapist. That was short-lived. After one semester of taking chemistry at a college level, I decided that the medical field was not for me. I ended up getting my degree in Human Communication and focusing on Event Planning. I’ve always had a thing for planning parties and in college, I would throw big parties that would get shut down. You know, crazy things that young kids did at that time. Fast forward to my graduating from the University of Central Florida with my degree I decided to get my certification in event planning and open up my own business. Just my luck, as I decided to launch my business Covid-19 appeared. My business never got off the ground and failed. I had to go back to the drawing board. At the time I was working for Apple and decided I wanted to do something that allowed me to work for myself. So, during Covid when we were sent home because of the stores being closed, I decided to get my real estate license. Something I always had in the back of my mind. After gaining my real estate license I hit the ground running. I have had my license since 2020 and it has been a journey. I’ve been building my business through real estate by helping others achieve the dream of homeownership. Has it been easy? No. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Currently, I along with my business partner and girlfriend are a duo called Legacy Alliance brokered by eXp Realty. In recent weeks we have been able to help two young families reach that goal. We have several families on the way to homeownership as well. My dream is to continue to grow our Legacy Alliance brand and make an impact on our community. I strive to better myself every day and be an example and leader for others. You can reach me at www.enockmartimer.com | contact@enockmartimer.com | (321) 290-0035.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. I’ve dealt with self-doubt, anxiety, and having to navigate life through a worldwide pandemic. I also support my mother with her health issues. Having to balance a career, relationship, life, and other things that come along the way is challenging. Through my faith, support from loved ones, and stress-relieving practices, I can continue to work towards my goals.
