Today we’d like to introduce you to Gretchen Aquino.
Hi Gretchen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my Real Estate Career in 2006 as the Director of First Impressions at Keller Williams Realty. I have been with the same brokerage for 15 years now! I worked my way up from being a receptionist to becoming an assistant and then a licensed realtor in 2010. In 2010, we decided to form the Barnes Team at Keller Williams at the lakes. I became the buyer’s agent for the team and once we grew the team, I became the director of operations.
The Barnes Team was blessed to have served 100 families in 2019 and held the top team spot in the market center out of 150 agents since 2018. We were also the number 5 agent position in Osceola County Realtor Association. Resulting from the pandemic, in January 2021, The Aquino Team was born. I currently have one buyer’s agent on the team and myself and looking to grow and help lots of families across Orange and Osceola County.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Climbing your way to the top is not an easy task at all! It took lots of sacrifices, and the most important thing is consistency. Being determined and focusing on my business is what has made it expand. At the Aquino Team, we operate from abundance and from every closing, we perform a random act of kindness. We give, donate or just do something for someone where we get no benefit or payback, just satisfaction of knowing we were able to serve and help! We also say we don’t sell houses. We don’t sell anything. We just give people the information they need to make an informed real estate decision, and that decision changes their lives! We are grateful for the opportunities we have gotten to serve others and be of assistance!

We proudly serve Orange, Osceola and Polk Counties. At the Aquino Team, we don’t sell houses. This is when you sell your current house to buy a home, all at once! We work diligently to make this difficult process as seamless as possible. Taking care of every detail along the way so the client can just sit back, relax and enjoy their new home.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Various! The most important part of selling anything is sincerity. Successful people are not lucky. They are prepared. During covid, I learned, tough times call for tough-minded individuals. You must always operate from abundance.
Also, regarding purchasing leads, I learned a very valuable lesson. When you buy a lead, you are just paying for a real estate conversation. It is solely up to you how that conversation goes. It’s your job to convert it into a transaction.
