Today we’d like to introduce you to Guido Davies.
Guido, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been building in technology for over 15 years, even if I didn’t call it that at the beginning.
Over time, I founded and participated in several companies across tourism, service-based tech, and payment solutions. Some projects grew and matured. Others didn’t survive. But they all taught me the same thing: if the model isn’t designed properly from the start, growth eventually creates friction.
A little over four years ago, I moved to the United States and chose Orlando as the place to build long term. It wasn’t random. Orlando is one of the largest tourism markets in the world, welcoming millions of visitors every year. That creates a highly competitive and professional environment.
It’s a demanding city. Operators are sophisticated. Customers have high standards. I learned quickly that if your system isn’t built thoughtfully, the market will expose the weaknesses fast.
And that’s exactly why I saw an opportunity.
The property management space was expanding quickly, but many operations were still manual and fragmented. There was strong hospitality experience, but very little technology infrastructure truly built for scale.
That’s when I founded Hostyn.
The idea wasn’t just to manage properties. It was to design an integrated model from day one — automate communication, build structured workflows, use data for pricing and operational decisions.
It wasn’t linear. We made a lot of adjustments. But over time, the company grew into a grew into a multi-million-dollar operation managing dozens of properties with thousands of guest stays annually in a highly competitive market
A few years later, I decided to sell the company. That was another learning phase. Building is challenging. Knowing when and how to exit is a different kind of challenge. That transition allowed me to focus more deeply on building technology and supporting other founders.
More than the size or the sale, what really changed my approach was the pressure of competing at a high level. In Orlando, I learned that integration and thoughtful design matter more than improvisation.
Over time, I began mentoring other founders going through similar transitions. I’ve participated as a mentor in programs like Emprelatam and in spaces connected to 500 Global, working with startups building across Latin America and the United States.
At the same time, I became more involved in Orlando’s local tech and entrepreneurial community, connecting with other operators who are building from here.
Today, my time is mainly divided between two areas.
On one side, AgentsPower, where we build AI agents that automate operational tasks in real estate and other industries.
And in parallel, Grays VC, where I invest in and advise early-stage AI-native startups, helping them validate products, find product-market fit, and structure sustainable growth models across borders.
I’m still building from Orlando. And I’m still refining the model.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
I don’t think any entrepreneur can honestly say that building companies is easy or consistently “beautiful.” There are great moments, of course. But they’re fewer than people imagine at the beginning.
After so many years building across different industries, one thing I try to share openly is this: you have to learn to enjoy the good moments when they show up. Really enjoy them. Because most of the time, you’re solving.
That’s the role. Solving.
A product issue.
A financial constraint.
A team misalignment.
Or sometimes a problem you didn’t even know existed until it surfaced under pressure.
Entrepreneurship is a constant up and down. And when you’re operating in demanding markets, that pressure multiplies.
In hospitality, managing hundreds of properties in a competitive market like Orlando, small issues don’t stay small for long. A minor coordination gap can ripple across multiple bookings. A delay in maintenance can affect guest experience immediately.
At first, you react. You fix what’s in front of you.
But over time, I realized the real lesson isn’t just solving problems — it’s building systems that prevent the same problem from happening twice.
That shift changed everything.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about AgentsPower & Grays VC?
Today I’m mainly focused on two initiatives: AgentsPower and Grays VC.
At AgentsPower, we build AI agents that automate operational tasks, primarily in property management and real estate. The goal is simple: reduce friction.
In many service-based businesses, teams spend most of their time coordinating communication, handling repetitive issues, and managing small operational gaps that add up quickly. We design systems that integrate directly into daily workflows and absorb part of that load.
What makes it different is that it comes from real operational experience. After managing hundreds of properties in a competitive market like Orlando, I’ve seen where processes break under pressure. We build with that in mind.
In parallel, through Grays VC, I invest in and advise early-stage startups, especially AI-native companies operating between the U.S. and Latin America. I work closely with founders on product validation and business model design, helping them build structures that can support long-term growth.
If I had to summarize my approach, it would be this: build systems that scale without creating chaos.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I think one of my favorite childhood memories is that feeling of always being in motion. Asking questions, exploring, building small things. I used to take apart devices just to see what was inside. Not to fix them — just out of pure curiosity.
And at the same time, I remember something much simpler: summer nights when, for no particular reason, my family would decide to have a barbecue on a random weekday. No celebration. Just because.
