Hi Heydi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Moving from Cuba to Miami at the age of 18 was a significant transformation for me. I’ve always had an artistic spirit, and while studying graphic design, I discovered my passion for customer service and a keen interest in understanding people’s needs, especially when it comes to events.

After over a decade of working in Miami with banquet companies, private events, decorations, venues, hotels, and restaurants, I gained invaluable experience and the confidence to plan my first major wedding event. It went wonderfully! I could see how much customers appreciated my vision, the attentiveness of my team, and the decorations. Everything flowed smoothly, and we created unforgettable memories.

After a year of coordinating events and offering services like photography, 360 videos, booths, decorations, catering, and venue management, I met my beautiful and talented wife, Emily A. Coincidentally, we were both navigating similar paths in different cities; she ran a catering company called Mamacitas Catering. It was amusing to realize how aligned our experiences were. Emily brought the practical management skills that I was missing, while I contributed technical, design, and planning expertise that complemented her strengths.

Excited about our future together, we quickly decided to launch our company, Zunzun Lux Events, transitioning from Miami to Orlando. I moved to Orlando nearly two years ago, and together we’ve continued to pursue our dream profession. Each day presents new challenges, happy customers, and countless blessings.

As we established Zunzun Lux Events, we also dreamed of expanding our family. Although we have a beloved chihuahua named Tuta Bella, we longed for a child. We’re thrilled to share that our dream has come true—I’m expecting a baby girl, Zaylee Mariela, who is due in December. We are overflowing with excitement, love, and gratitude for this precious gift!
Planning to serve the community with our services as much as we can . We love to help and specially do Chirch and corporate events to those whom deserve it 🙂 .

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The only real challenge we face is the deep longing for our families. My family is still in Miami, while Emily’s family has retired in Colombia. It’s just the two of us as we navigate our journey together. While it’s not a barrier for us, we can’t deny how much we miss our families.
