Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Del Valle.
Hi Jackie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been obsessed with beauty. You name it, I tried it. I decided to start my esthetics career back in 2018 because I wanted to offer eyelash extension services. After a few weeks in school, I immediately fell in love with skincare. At the time, I worked nights at a local venue in Downtown Orlando where I would spend the first few hours in the back (break room) studying and doing homework.
The idea of educating individuals on the importance of skincare routines, ingredients and gut health became a real obsession of mine. I always told myself I’d work for myself. Why work for someone else’s dream when I had my very own, right? After graduating, I began taking all types of continuing education and invested thousands of dollars in skincare lines to make sure I knew I was getting the best of the best education for my clients. For months I would tell people how I was in the process of opening up my own business until I finally took the leap of faith and opened up Luminous Beauty Studio. My very own brand! After a few months of being open and with very little clientele, I decided to quit my secured night job and go full-time as a business owner. I had a goal to become a 6 figure business and I wasn’t going to stop!
COVID hit and I decided to move out of the small studio and move into a five-room salon. Go big or go home, right? The business was GREAT! While running a business, catering to my clients, juggling my love life, family and friends, I decided to go back to school and go for round two of esthetics but this time in New York. The plan was to open up a second location in New York and commute between two states. Everyone thought I was crazy. I won’t say it was easy, but I did it. I began teaching Body Sculpting classes in Orlando and came across the opportunity to teach in a whole different state. New Jersey to be exact. My very first out of state and largest class yet. After teaching that class, I knew it was time to open up in New York. I signed my second lease in Staten Island, New York and decided to close my studio in Casselberry, Florida. I commuted between Staten Island and Orlando for months, teaching multiple classes in New Jersey. Moving my business to New York was the craziest yet best decision I’ve made for me and my business. I’ve now been in business for 2 1/2 years and am proud to say Luminous Beauty Studio is a now 6 figure salon!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A lot of blood, sweat and tears is the best way to describe my road to success. My biggest struggle was transitioning from “bottle girl” to full-time business owner. I traded in my spanks for scrubs and boots for crocs/sneakers but I was ready for it. I doubted myself A LOT. It was really me against my own mind thinking I wasn’t good enough or people wouldn’t take me seriously because I was just a young and starving Latina trying to make it in such a saturated city for my line of work. Being a small business in Orlando, I knew from here on out, it was no longer about just me and my image. I was a complete representation of my brand and if I wanted the respect, I had to carry it out as if I already had it. I can’t say it was a smooth ride but it was definitely worth it!

We’re most proud of offering group and 1:1 classes in multiple states! Experienced and knowledgeable in Body Sculpting, we offer classes and ongoing mentorship to all of our students!
What sets us apart from others? “When you do something you love, you never have to work a day in your life.” This quote definitely reflects on us. We are passionate, attentive and professional when it comes to beauty and it shows. We also carry a 5-star rating on Google and all of our clients and students can agree, we certainly deserve it.
