Hi Janily, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Janily Herrera, and I am a proud Latina entrepreneur originally from Venezuela, where I earned a degree in accounting. Growing up in a hard-working and entrepreneurial family, I was instilled with the values of determination, perseverance and the drive to succeed. While my academic background provided a solid foundation, I discovered my true passion in self-care and helping others feel confident in their skin.
Eight years ago, I immigrated to the United States, embarking on a journey defined by sacrifice, perseverance, and a commitment to personal growth. Balancing work in a restaurant during the day with studying skincare at night, I remained focused on building a brighter future. Over the years, I achieved licenses as a facial specialist, medical assistant, and laser technician. My dedication to continuous learning also afforded me the privilege of teaching advanced facial techniques, allowing me to share my knowledge and refine my expertise further.
Through hard work and hands-on experience, I have cultivated a comprehensive understanding of skincare and advanced treatments, enabling me to meet the diverse needs of my clients effectively. Today, I am proud to lead and grow my own business, where I combine technical expertise with a personal commitment to empowering others.
As a Latina woman, self-care is more than a professional pursuit—it is a deeply personal value and a powerful tool for inspiring confidence and self-assurance. Helping individuals feel good about themselves and witnessing their transformation is incredibly rewarding. My story is one of resilience, passion, and the belief that with dedication and perseverance, any dream can become reality.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but the challenges have shaped me into the person I am today. As an immigrant, adjusting to a new country was a significant transition. I had to learn a new language, adapt to a different culture, and navigate unfamiliar systems, all while working hard to support myself.
One of my biggest challenges was balancing work and school. I worked in a restaurant during the day and attended classes at night, which often left me exhausted but determined to achieve my goals. Financial struggles were also a part of the journey, as pursuing multiple certifications in skincare, laser technology, and medical assistance required both time and resources.
Starting my own business came with its own set of challenges, including building a client base, managing finances, and competing in a growing industry. However, each obstacle taught me valuable lessons about resilience, time management, and the importance of perseverance.
Despite the struggles, l’ve stayed focused on my passion for helping others feel confident in their skin, and that has made every challenge worthwr.

In addition, I offer laser hair removal for long-lasting smoothness and body contouring services that help clients achieve their desired body shape.
What sets my business apart is my holistic approach to beauty, combining the latest technology with a personal touch. Every treatment is tailored to each client’s individual goals, and I take great pride in helping them feel confident and empowered.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I moved to Orlando a few months ago to start my second business, with my first being in Fort Lauderdale. Orlando has been incredibly welcoming, and I’ve quickly come to appreciate the vibrant energy of the city. I love how diverse the community is and how it offers so many opportunities for small businesses to thrive. In addition to being a beautiful, magical city known for its parks and attractions, the mix of cultures, the warm atmosphere, and the growing interest in self-care and wellness make it a great place to connect with people and grow professionally.
As for what l like least, l’d say the traffic can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, especially during peak hours. But overall, Orlando has been a wonderful city to start this new chapter, and I’m excited to see what the future holds here.
