Our story started when a tech startup entrepreneur rented out his basement to a house-flipping family. From there, a relationship grew which evolved into a partnership. The tech entrepreneur decided to get into short-term rentals and the flipping family had the talent to make homes into movie sets and dream beach homes. Together they created Loma Homes who’s mission is to create unforgettable experiences for people all over the world. Starting in Orlando where they created “Twelve Parsecs” which is a galaxy-inspired home designed to extend your stay beyond “Galaxy’s Edge”. From there, they created Wizards Way and Raptor Retreat which have been featured on many publications including Daily Mail, New York Post, Insider Magazine, and more. They are now busy creating a wide variety of experiences across the country including beach, cabin in the woods, skiing, rock climbing, and more. Finally, there is a vacation rental brand that you can trust.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a vacation rental business in the heart of COVID was definitely a challenge. That said, we were able to make a profit despite government shutdowns and travel fears. This was when realized we were on to something truly special and gave us the confidence we needed to scale our model.
We’ve been impressed with Loma Homes, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Loma Homes is a vacation rental company that specializes in EXPERIENCES. We’re raising the bar on vacation rentals and giving guests more than just a place to stay. What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Customer obsession – our homes are designed for our guests, by our guests. The ideas and design for each home are crowd-sourced on our social media platforms so that they include exactly what the guests want in each location.
