Today we’d like to introduce you to Josefina Guedes.  

Hi Josefina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Josefina Guedes, I have been an international consultant for 38 years and a wine consultant since 2006 by the Brazilian Sommelier Association, I love my work, and I have always been a lover of traveling, knowing the history, culture, and customs of other countries, in addition to being a connoisseur of good food and wine. Due to my work, I have had the privilege of traveling the world and living in the United States and Asia for the last 22 years. Creating the Wine Club with my friends from Miami in 2017 was a dream come true where together we started to study the history, grapes, regions, wines, and gastronomy, and of course, honoring the wine-friendly Chefs. Today there are more than 250 wine friends from Miami, Clermont, and Orlando. To be a friend of wine is to join an exclusive club of friends and guests of friends of wine. We hold our Wine Tasting Clubs to learn together, make good friends, and business network. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In these last 5 years of the first Wine Tasting Club, it has been a great learning experience, as we have observed that the WTC is made up of wine friends, who love Eno gastronomy and want to learn, and those who love to eat well and appreciate good wines, and friends who just want to do network, but who love being part of this exclusive club. So, understanding the profile of each wine friend was my biggest challenge, mainly because I am passionate about always learning and enjoying each discovery of each wine and wine pairing made by me for each menu prepared by each Chef. But it is also exciting to observe that even wine friends who are more objective and come in search of a network end up falling in love and getting involved in the main spirit of the WTC, Eno gastronomy. 

My conclusion in this learning process with my wine friends is that each person has their own time for discovery, and that fascinates me. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Carry out with love and passion combined with deep knowledge, but in a light way, donating this knowledge sets us apart from other services, as we make everything personalized, from the menus to the wines, they are selected according to the profile of each client and occasion., as if it were a great symphony. Everyone who attends the Wine Tasting Clubs, and the companies that are our clients that hold our events, say that the atmosphere is magical because of the delicacy with which we make our meetings become true Eno gastronomic paradises, bringing pleasure and happiness to people, transforming these moments into unique ones, this is our main objective, to make everyone have well-being present in their lives. 

Because wine is not just an alcoholic beverage that is drunk with food, but wine is part of the entire history of humanity, with its history together with our history, and that is the magic of Wine Tasting Clubs by Josefina Guedes & Chefs.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Thank God I feel like a blessed person; my way of doing business is to do it professionally with a lot of love and passion, and the result comes naturally. 

As an example of good luck, I cite the Covid period, when I made the decision to make our Wine Tasting Clubs online, with drinks being delivered at home and food by the chefs too. Anyway, this quick decision, and at the right moment, made the Josfina Guedes Personal Wine Advisor brand to be maintained and the Wine Tasting Club strong, as well as the bonds of friendships, in addition to having provided well-being for all the friends of the wine, in such a difficult time for all of us.
