Today we’d like to introduce you to Larissa Nazareno. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Larissa Nazareno is the CEO/Founder of a successful marketing/noble event coordinating/public relations/image and branding consultant/ web development business called “Luxe And Company,” established in 2014. Larissa was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. (DUVAL) and ignited her skills and talent for her love for her city. She is also the co-founder of Ducksauce of JAX, a catering company established in 2016, investing in her son’s passion for cooking. Her love for the youth and basketball allowed her to become the Public Relations for The “Kevin Waters Basketball Academy,” where we provide an outlet for underprivileged kids to obtain skills on the court, in 2017. She has hosted the largest cocktail party for Florida/Georgia weekend in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. Larissa tapped into her Filipino roots from marketing to hosting noble events celebrating Filipino-American heritage called “Filipino Pride Day.” Her expertise led to her next venture with the youth called “The King Foundation,” a non-profit (501c3) where we focus on children who have lost their parent(s) due to unforeseen circumstances, and we are still evolving!
Fast forward to 2023, and you’re looking at the Director of Public Relations for Jacksonville’s newest professional Basketball Franchise, The Basketball League (TBL), a G-League one level below the NBA called The “Jacksonville 95ers.” This will be the biggest league in the City of Jacksonville. The season starts in March 2024, and he manages a full-time job with a Stevedoring company at Jacksonville Port Authority (Jaxport Blount Island). Larissa is a huge youth and community advocate and has worked alongside former Mayor Lenny Curry, small businesses, entrepreneurs, local and celebrity artists, professional athletes, and many more!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Larissa’s venture started when she part-timed with a local magazine in Jacksonville called “Duval Urban Metro” and was named the Vice President of Business Marketing and conducted her 1st music article with Asian Hip Hop legend Rob Campman, formerly known as “Southstar” 1/2 of the Orlando group “Smilez & Southstar.” She took off from there and started her own business and brand, “Luxe & Company.” The challenges she faced as she invested in herself as she was always building her brand from late-night studying to developing her marketing materials. Still, it paid off as she educated herself and developed more and more skills.
