Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I got started being a Disney Parks & Universal Studios Travel Planner by having a devoted love for all things fun! Disney is my escape, it’s my happy place to visit when I need a smile on my face, and the same for Universal Orlando! My official journey got started when I scored a once-in-a-lifetime interview with my host agency, Academy Travel Affiliates. I network like it’s nobody’s business day and night, every single day! I now have a collection of amazing clients I take care of and the happiness & flexibility that comes with being a Specialized Travel Planner.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a bit bumpy, with COVID-19, the Travel Industry had definitely taken a big hit, unfortunately. Luckily, I’ve been able to establish myself as restrictions have been lifted, and everyone is starting to take fun family & solo vacations again! I struggled with gaining a steady client base and establishing my brand, but it’s certainly gotten smoother.

My profession is Specialized Travel Planning! Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line & Universal Studios Orlando, and Universal Studios Hollywood. I’m most proud of taking initiative and building my client base from scratch, I started my venture mid-COVID, and it’s been challenging at times with the Travel Industry taking a major hit but I’ve certainly been able to establish my mark in the Travel Industry. I offer Free Quotes and Itineraries for anyone looking to travel to these locations, and I’m always there for any questions, large or small; I have immense knowledge of Disney and Universal & any major travel concerns. My job means the world to me, and I look forward to helping anyone join in the magic with me!
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a very shy, curious child with many quirks and hobbies. I enjoyed playing Video Games, playing “Scavenger Hunt” with my younger sister, and reading books.
