Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Rivera II
Luis, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Luis Rivera and I am the Chief Technology Officer, Premier Video Tech, and Founder of LRAV, an Audio Visual company based in Orlando, FL. My journey in the audio visual industry started when I was just 12 years old, working with my family member to create a DJ company called Always a Party in 1999.
As I gained more experience and skills, I began freelancing for companies like Hi-Tech and AVW doing audio visual events. By 2006, I was working for many audio visual companies and Always a Party had evolved into Pro Audio Visual and DJ. In 2008, we dropped the DJ from our name and shifted our focus to corporate events.
From 2008 to 2016, I focused on becoming master certified in all areas of audio visual and worked on all types of logistics, trucking, and gear rentals. During this time, we serviced companies like Microsoft, Walmart, government organizations (including the White House), medical companies (Edwards and McKesson), and many other Fortune 100 companies.
In 2017, I founded LRAV to cater to a more demanding high-end service, which includes video going from HD to 4K, audio from analog to full digital, lighting going from analog to network-based, and network as a whole. We stepped into the Zoom world and were already highly skilled in the network base area, which allowed us to easily transition to the heavily virtual and network-based world that emerged in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
In 2021, LRAV became one of the first companies to bring all elements of virtual reality like extended reality, augment reality, and virtual reality inside a ballroom, arguably one of the first. In 2022, in-person events made a huge comeback along with hybrid events, and LRAV became a global leader in that space.
Today, LRAV is staffed with many full-time family members trained in all areas to the highest level of audio visual with truly the very highest technology offered today. Together with the very best clients, who we also call family, we continue to innovate and lead in the audio visual industry.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Rarely great things come smooth and easy. The story line of LRAV comes with many obstacles and challenges but the one thing of must importance is when you fail, have no energy, no money, everyone tells you no or leaves you, and there seems to be no light at the end of the road. Congratulations, you have made it to step one in making it happen.
Smile in this time. Get up like you have it all figured out. Stay true to yourself. Tell close to no one about your issues. Push through it.
There was no light at the end of the road. The light is right where you’re standing in the moments. The light is you.
We’ve been impressed with LRAV, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LRAV offerings are based on supplying an end to end solution that in almost all cases would be separated with the core values of family and happy people.
At our base we are a premium luxury audio visual company but with concert & touring, FX, Entertainment, & logistics all in house there is no event of any size we cant do. And not just do them…. The way everything connect and performs together is like no other.
We are not multiple companies and/or vendors coming together to try to make something happen for your event. We are a company thats does it many times so it’s not new on your event.
This making a great predictable outcome event every time.
