Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Maria Garcia.
Hi Dr. Garcia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I came from Cuba in 1992. I pass my Board of Medicine. In 2006 my mother pass again due to Leukemia and I wasn’t able to travel. I open my clinic in her memory. I dreaming to open my practice Lahens Medical Center, Inc, in Orlando, Florida, where I spent 20 years working with patients. I open in 2007 with only one employee. After one year and started employing two more Doctors y 2 Medical assistants because the amounts of patients were too much for me. My practice grows so fast and after four years, we were 30 employees, including four doctors and two Nurse Practitioners. With these growing, the space of clinic was more than a double. I am so happy that my American dream come true. I was able to work with wonderful employees. I love my patients and I spent time with them tried to found out their medical problems. In 4/2020, I sold my practice and I move to Miami.
Now I work doing Telemedicine with patients helping them with Hormone, weight loss and anti-aging programs. Also, I am working teaching people how to open a Business, how can you make money and keep it and how can you fine purposes in your life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was struggling to have medical insurance contracting. The insurance takes time, sometime between 3-8 months, to approval.

Right now, I am reinventing my practice. I used my knowledge and experience to help others. I offer Telehealth, conference to help people to be happy, make money and be abundant in the life.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I played with my little sister hide and seek. My Sisi Marlen was to innocent because when I called her she answered and I found her very easily.
