Hi Mikaelah & Jose, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Our journey originated from working with our Miami company: Party Rental ML Luxury Events; where we started off with only party rentals and then over time grew into a party planning business putting together all types of events with rentals, decorations, catering, floral arrangements, and more. Our business passion comes from seeing friends and family get together and find joy, love, and happiness when we create their special events. We believe each special moment in our lives should be unforgettable and cherished. After 6 years of growth and becoming a well-known business in Miami, we decided to branch out to Orlando and established MJ’s Luxury Events. Our mission is to transform special occasions into a lifelong memory with world-class service and luxury products all at an affordable price. Now as an upcoming business, we started off with rentals as well, however, with our experience, we offer party rentals, party planning, and decoration services for all types of events by “Turning Dreams into Reality”!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The process of establishing our business was the easy part. We knew what we wanted to do, what our goals and values were going to be, and more. The road has been easy, however, with low traffic. We knew starting a party planning business in Orlando would be difficult but we refuse to let our dream die so early. Our ongoing goal is to build connections, find more ways of exposure, and attract more cliental.
We’ve been impressed with MJ’s Luxury Events, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As we settled in Orlando over time, we decided to establish MJ’s Luxury Events to provide our luxury services to the central Florida area. We wanted to be a representation of our Miami business to one day become just as successful. However, we understand when starting a business, it will take time for the business to get noticed and thrive. So, day by day, we are working our website, ready to answer messages, calls, and requests from interested clients for our business, and others. We offer services for all special occasions from birthdays, Quinceañeras, gender reveals, baby showers, picnic settings and etc. We provide party rentals such as different options of tables and chairs, gold or silver throne chairs, Kid Throne chairs, display columns, numerous backdrops with an endless idea of balloon arrangements, and so much more. Our business does not stop there. MJ’s Luxury Events gives our customers the option to pick up rentals, easy access to our available rentals, and booking through our website. We have free consultation, personalized invoiced, and specialty packages for more savings! Included in our services, we provide delivery, set-up, and break down which means less work and more enjoyment for you. We want our customers to know they can trust us in putting together their special events, enjoy our luxury products, and be satisfied with our customer service that they continue to book us for future events.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
You will not get bookings, messages, or as much attention as you would like right away. Businesses take time to grow just as others took about a year to start getting clients and bookings. Just wait as, over time, it will come. Keep going and do not give up. The bookings will come.
