Today we’d like to introduce you to Quteria Teague.
Hi Quteria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story didn’t begin in a salon — it began in survival. I grew up learning responsibility early, navigating instability and challenges that forced me to mature quickly. Those experiences shaped my resilience, my discipline, and my determination to build something different for myself.
Hair became more than a skill — it became a form of empowerment. I saw how confidence could shift someone’s posture, their energy, even their outlook on life. What started as a passion gradually became a purpose. I wasn’t just styling hair; I was restoring confidence, especially for women and men experiencing hair loss who often felt unseen.
As my business grew, so did I. I moved from simply providing services to building structure, systems, and a long-term vision. Expanding into medical wig solutions required deeper knowledge, greater responsibility, and a commitment to operating with excellence and integrity. It challenged me to elevate — not just creatively, but professionally.
Behind every milestone — opening a storefront, mentoring others, navigating expansion — there were moments of uncertainty, sacrifice, and growth. I’ve learned that entrepreneurship isn’t just about revenue; it’s about endurance. It’s about choosing to keep building even when the weight feels heavy.
Today, I lead with intention. I am building more than a beauty brand — I am building stability, opportunity, and legacy. My journey reflects transformation — personally and professionally — and I’m proud that the same resilience that carried me through my early years now fuels the foundation of everything I create.
And I’m still evolving.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road.
One of my biggest challenges has been navigating responsibility at a young age while trying to build something stable for myself. I’ve carried personal and family responsibilities that required emotional strength long before I felt fully prepared. That weight shaped me, but it also forced me to grow quickly.
Entrepreneurship itself has been another major challenge. Building a business without a blueprint means learning through trial, error, and sometimes financial risk. I’ve experienced setbacks with partnerships, operational delays, and expansion obstacles that tested both my patience and my confidence. There were moments where the pressure felt isolating — when decisions had to be made without certainty, and failure felt very close.
Expanding into the medical wig and cranial prosthesis space added another layer of complexity. It required navigating regulations, insurance processes, compliance standards, and a level of professionalism far beyond traditional beauty services. The learning curve was steep, and the responsibility felt heavy because the clients I serve are often in vulnerable stages of their lives.
On a personal level, balancing leadership, family obligations, and my own emotional growth has been one of the most challenging aspects of this journey. Success requires discipline, but it also requires healing and unlearning old patterns. I’ve had to confront my own fears, doubts, and tendencies to overextend myself.
However, every obstacle has refined me. The challenges didn’t stop the vision — they strengthened it. They taught me structure, boundaries, discernment, and resilience.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it has been purposeful.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Resilience has been the most essential quality to my success.
Building a business while carrying personal responsibilities, navigating uncertainty, and stepping into unfamiliar spaces required more than talent — it required endurance. There have been moments of pressure, delay, and financial risk that tested my confidence and decision-making. Resilience allowed me to continue building even when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed.
However, resilience alone is not enough. Discipline has been equally important. Success requires consistency — showing up daily, maintaining standards, honoring commitments, and building structure even when motivation fluctuates. I’ve learned that sustainable growth is not built on inspiration, but on systems and accountability.
Another defining quality has been emotional intelligence. Working in a space where clients are often vulnerable has required empathy, discretion, and the ability to lead with both strength and compassion. Understanding people — whether clients, team members, or partners — has shaped how I operate and how I lead.
Ultimately, my success has been driven by the combination of resilience, discipline, and emotional maturity. Those qualities have allowed me to transform challenges into strategy and vision into tangible results.
