Inspiring Conversations with Rhode Mesidor of Rhode 2 Wellness Family Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhode Mesidor.

Hi Rhode, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hearing that loud scream as I sat a track meet on a lovely Friday in Miami waiting to run my last event girls 4X4. One of the athletes was knocked unconscious after falling from a golf cart and hitting
his head against the uncovered football goal post on the way down. Looking over around the field as
all the coaches ran over, it was clear to me that there was nobody at the meet with real medical
training. As time passed waiting for first responders to arrived you could see them trying to shield us
from the unfortunate truth. This young man was dead. The meet ended early, everyone in shock at
the recent event. On the bus ride back all I could think about was how could I have helped, why did
the paramedics take so long to arrive, why wasn’t there anybody else at the event that could help
him?…
Fast forward to 2014 and one of my athletes dealing with sciatic issues asked me join him at his track
meet just incase. I was so excited, “Of course,” I said! As I arrive at the meet, I saw runners like Justin
Gatlin, Jessica Beard all warming up and thought to myself wow this is Amazing! However, once more
I saw a few PT’s, and LMT nothing more. Reminiscing on that terrible day, I couldn’t help but think,
who’s going to help these professional athletes if something happens, how can I be a part of the
solution? That is when my journey really started…
Since then my passion and career has been focused on being more knowledgeable not just for my
athletes but for my community as a whole, including expecting mother and lots of children!
Graduating with a Bachelors in Science and a concentration in Pre-Med from Bethune-Cookman
University in 2009, and graduating from my Doctorate at Life University in Atlanta, Ga in 2013 with a
recognition for the highest national board of chiropractic examiners score.
I have pursued my mission to help our community reach their full potential by applying the 5
Essentials of health and operating within the principle that the human body was created for health.
Through my work I have seen my patients experience amazing results and worked them out of pain,
reversing disease processes, losing weight, and becoming healthy enough to no longer need
medication.
Looking to continue to share my knowledge and training I have served as a partner and support
system not only in Orlando but also internationally. In 2016, I traveled to Rio as volunteer medical
staff member assisting the international teams. Additionally, I continue to work with the USA track
and field sprinter clubs as well as partner with Orange County Public schools.
After years of training and experience in 2017 I chose to branch out on my own creating Rhode 2
Wellness a mobile chiropractic company that provides on site care in addition to office visits. Our
goal being that whether you are an athlete trying to optimize performance, or you are just trying to
regain the health you once had, I am committed to helping you reach your full health potential.
I have a vision to see a world where people and families are achieving abundant health and living up
to their full God-given potential.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wish I could say yes, however the truth is absolutely not. Coming out of school I originally thought that I would open my practice in 2013. I worked with a doctor that promises tell me the office, only to turn around and sell it to his brother for personal reasons three years into our buyout deal. Starting from scratch in 2017 I had to create all new friendships and partnerships in my new community and honestly learn how to run a business on my own from scratch. I was the front Desk, custodian insurance biller, and doctor all at once. I’m cleaning toilets in my office to painting to putting down floors to answering phones I have had to do it all in order to keep my overhead low for the first year into practice.
While still working a full-time job in another office.
