Inspiring Conversations with Roxy Ramirez of ReOrganized, Refreshed!

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roxy Ramirez.

Hi Roxy, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Hello, thrilled to be here! It really all started with a spark for change summer of 2021. Being a born and raised New Yorker, Florida just seemed like the obvious move; all the cool kids were doing it, duh! I did my research, did my browsing, did my packing and in 3 Months, I was living in Winter Park with my two tweens. After working the ol’ 9-5 for 15 years and having not landed a fitting corporate job in Orlando, I made the decision to give entrepreneurship a shot, better yet, Mompreneurship! And it truly is how everyone says it is…. scary and hard at times.

ReOrganized, Refreshed was born 2022; it started while I was at my friend’s house. She’s a working mom, a wife, an active daughter-in-law, and PTA President, among other things. It’s obvious she has her hands full and doesn’t always have the time to clear her home space. That’s when I came in and offered to give her a hand, free of charge, just one mom helping another. I reorganize her daughters’ playroom, bedrooms, closets, and Mom in law’s bedroom.

I realized it was my thing; I liked doing it, it came easy, and time went by pretty quickly. Not only did I enjoy the process of categorizing, sorting, and organizing, but my biggest excitement came from seeing her facial expression when she saw the end result for the first time. A sense of relief, joy, and gratitude. And that’s when I knew I wanted to do this, I could do this, I will do this.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I always felt finding your passion, calling or forte was the hardest part, I quickly learned the hardest part is turning it into a business. After realizing I enjoyed organizing and watched all of the organizing shows on Netflix, I began my research journey. Who needs my service? What do I charge? Where do I start? How do I do it? I’d say my biggest challenge has been booking clients consistently, sharpening my marketing skills. It gets discouraging at times when business is slow; luckily, I have an amazing support system, my family.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
ReOrganized, Refreshed is a Home Organizing service, mainly assisting busy moms, helping them free up space and time. Being a mom myself, I understand the hectic lifestyle we fall into, doing everyday tasks. Having to work while still caring for our kids. Feeding them and getting them ready for school, driving for pick up, drop off, appointments, playdates, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, meals, we do it all! Having an organized space not only makes us feel more at ease and relieved after a busy day, but it actually helps us tackle the next day shenanigans. Having a place for everything and everything in its place will start us off to a smooth day.

I wanted to provide a service that helps mentally and physically at an affordable rate because an organized home should be for everyone. I don’t push for the fancy bins, although I do love them and will order them in a heartbeat if asked to, I try to work with what makes my clients comfortable, happy, and at their own pace.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
When I decided to go the Entrepreneur route, I had no idea where to start. Of course, the first thing I did was set up my Instagram account; then what? I reached out to my beloved cousin, closest thing I have to a brother (only child here). We grew up together but recently bonded more after our grandmother passed. Hugo started his contractor business with his best friend in their early 20’s not knowing the ins and outs of a business, they just went for it. HomeThesis Corp. is now going on 10 years strong, working with high-end clientele. He’s truly an inspiration for me. He’s always providing ideas, words of encouragement, and guidance, I love him dearly for that; he helps keep me going.
