My journey began with a deep passion for skincare and a genuine desire to help people feel their best. I’ve always believed that skincare is more than just surface-level—it’s about confidence, self-care, and overall well-being. That passion led me to become an esthetician, and I immersed myself in learning everything I could about skin health, treatments, and products.
Over time, I realized that my mission extended beyond just working with clients directly. I wanted to create a space where other estheticians could thrive and help even more people. That’s how *Body by Shae* was born—a place where we not only focus on skincare but also support other estheticians in their journeys to make a difference.
It’s been such a rewarding experience to grow alongside our team and our clients, and I’m excited to continue making an impact in this industry!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all—it’s definitely been a journey with its ups and downs! Starting out as an esthetician, one of the biggest challenges was building my confidence and learning to navigate the business side of things. Understanding clients’ unique needs and finding the best ways to help them took time and a lot of trial and error.
When we opened *Body by Shae*, it came with its own set of challenges—like balancing the responsibilities of running a business while continuing to serve clients and support other estheticians. There were moments of doubt, financial hurdles, and long days figuring out the best systems to help the business grow.
But every struggle taught me something valuable. Those tough moments helped me become more resourceful, patient, and resilient. It’s all been worth it because seeing the impact we’ve made—whether it’s a client’s confidence boost or helping another esthetician grow their career—makes all the challenges worthwhile.
We’ve been impressed with Body By Shae, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe taking risks is an essential part of growth, both personally and professionally. Without stepping out of your comfort zone, you can miss out on opportunities that could lead to something amazing. For me, one of the biggest risks I’ve taken was starting my own business, *Body by Shae*. It was a leap of faith to invest in myself, my skills, and my vision, knowing there were no guarantees of success.
There were moments of fear—questions like, “What if it doesn’t work out?” or “What if I fail?”—but I’ve learned that taking risks is less about avoiding failure and more about trusting yourself to figure it out along the way.
Every risk I’ve taken, from becoming an esthetician to opening my own space, has brought me closer to where I’m meant to be. It’s also taught me that calculated risks, backed by hard work and passion, are often worth it. Even when things don’t go perfectly, the lessons you gain can set you up for even bigger successes in the future. For me, risk-taking is about betting on yourself and staying committed to your goals, no matter what challenges come your way.
