Inspiring Conversations with Starr Dalton of Orlando International Fashion Week

Today we’d like to introduce you to Starr Dalton.

Hi Starr, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I studied Interior Décor from 2007 to 2010 while also working at Ethan Allen. During that time, I discovered my passion for fashion through opportunities as a Model and Event Coordinator for a local designer. As a Design Coordinator, I gained hands-on experience organizing fashion shows, including recruiting vendors, photographers, musical talent, designers, and models, a process I instantly fell in love with.

In 2014, I worked as a Personal Assistant at a Model and Talent agency in Lakeland, where I recruited and interviewed talent, as well as reviewed and selected top photos from photoshoots for model comp cards. Around that same time, I met my business partners, Rob and Jessica Henlon, we started producing events together as Fierce Entertainment Management we also co-founded Orlando International Fashion Week.

With a strong background in both fashion and entertainment, my diverse skill set spans blogging, modeling, model training, apparel styling, pageant judging, making art and event coordination.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Just as we were building great momentum the pandemic hit, forcing us to pause all operations. During that time Orlando International Fashion Week became a non-profit.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Orlando International Fashion Week ?
