I started my journey in real estate over ten years ago, initially focusing on sales as a licensed realtor. My passion for helping people find the perfect home whether for living or investment quickly grew, and I began specializing in vacation rental properties in Florida, particularly in the Orlando and Osceola areas.
Over time, I expanded into real estate investing myself, purchasing my own properties, including duplexes and short-term rentals. Managing these properties gave me firsthand experience in what it takes to be a successful investor and property manager. From dealing with guest turnovers to handling unexpected maintenance issues, I learned the ins and outs of maximizing cash flow while maintaining a high standard of hospitality.
Now, I not only help clients buy and sell homes but also guide investors looking to enter the short-term rental market. My experience as both a realtor and an investor allows me to provide unique insights, helping others build wealth through real estate while ensuring they avoid common pitfalls. I’ve also started making my mark by hosting creative open houses, helping fellow realtors and investors generate engaging social media content.
This journey has been about more than just transactions it’s about building relationships, creating opportunities, and constantly evolving in a fast-paced industry.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road real estate is an industry full of challenges, but that’s also what makes it exciting.
As a realtor, one of the biggest struggles early on was building a consistent client base. Real estate is competitive, and it took time to establish trust and credibility, especially when working with investors who needed to see results. Learning how to market myself, generate leads, and stay top of mind in a crowded space was a challenge, but through persistence and creativity especially with social media and networking I built a strong reputation.
As an investor and short-term rental owner, the challenges were different. Managing properties, dealing with unexpected maintenance issues, unreliable cleaning companies, and market fluctuations all came with a learning curve. Some guests left my units in terrible condition, and finding a dependable cleaning team was an ongoing struggle. The pandemic also brought uncertainty to the short-term rental market, forcing me to adapt quickly and rethink my strategies.
Another struggle has been balancing it all—being a realtor, an investor, and a property manager requires time, organization, and patience. But every challenge has made me better at what I do, and I’ve learned that resilience, adaptability, and always staying ahead of the market trends are key to long-term success.
