Hi Tara, Samuel,and Gabriel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Both Lake County natives, Samuel and Tara decided to marry our backgrounds and form a construction company based on excellence, professionalism, integrity, craftsmanship. Hence, the name E. P. I. C. Home Professionals, LLC was born. Samuel is a third generation builder who has been crafting his skills for more than 30 years alongside his grandfather and father. He is a Certified Building Contractor, and he understands and constructs all facets of residential and commercial buildings, even the small details. He is a highly skilled carpenter, but he also understands all the trades required in oversight of all projects. We specialize in lanai conversions, additions, full home remodels, and office buildouts.
Tara earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from St. Leo University and a Masters of Business Administration from Keiser University. Her background in leadership in long-term care and coordination of care amplifies her passion for people and ensures all projects are handled with professionalism and integrity. She takes special care in each project to remember the importance of communication, follow-through, and positive results.
Gabriel, a fourth generation apprentice, is learning the skills required in setting himself apart from others in the construction industry by polishing his natural talents and gifts for building alongside his father. As part of the family-owned and operated business, he assists with oversight and construction of our projects. He earned an Associates Degree from Valencia State College and plans to pursue a business degree in the future.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building a thriving business is never easy. It starts one job at a time, one phone call at a time. Our market is the Villages, and building a reputation based on quality and a customer base built on trust requires consistently delivering quality results and often putting the finishing touches that exude excellence, even when it comes at a monetary cost to the company, in the spirit of doing “the right thing” or making a homeowner smile. Often, our referral source is word of mouth and it takes time to build that network of customers.

We are Certified Building Contractors who specialize in lanai conversions, additions, house remodels, kitchen/bathroom remodels, and office buildouts. We are different because we care about the outcome of our projects. We take it to heart, because we are a small, family-owned business that operates on making a difference for our customers. We want to see them happy and smiling at the end of the project. We want them to call us back and tell their friends about us. It is our craft and we treat it as such. Our principles of EXCELLENCE, PROFESSIONALISM, INTEGRITY, CRAFTSMANSHIP guide all our decisions and we want that to shine in our projects.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The biggest shifts that we see are Artificial Intelligence in automating and optimizing project outcomes and lack of skilled tradesman. We often see and fix workmanship that was obviously performed by people that were poorly trained or not trained at all. Skilled tradesman are unable to pass on their crafts because there is a shortage of skilled labor willing to learn.
