Vanessa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started when i was very young growing up with a lot of family and 5 siblings and just a passion for art, creating and parties. I’ve always loved bringing joy to celebrations. What began as just baking and decorating for fun turned into helping family and friends decorate their parties. since then, I’ve been creating custom cakes, themed décor, and full event setups for others.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to building my cake and party decorating business hasn’t been a smooth one. since my last article i had suffered a back injury and my family has grown so i did take a small break. Between balancing family life, focusing on my health, late nights perfecting designs, and learning the business side from scratch, there were moments I wondered if I could keep going. and there were plenty of trial-and-error disasters along the way. But every obstacle taught me something—patience, resilience, and the courage to keep creating. Each challenge became part of the story, making every cake I bake and every event I design feel even more meaningful.

I am a small business owner with big business dreams. I run an event planning/decorating and custom cake business that’s all about creating unforgettable celebrations. I’m not just here to bake a cake or set up a table—I’m here to help people create moments they’ll talk about for years. From custom cakes and dessert tables to full event design and planning, my focus is on making every celebration beautiful, meaningful, and stress-free for my clients.
I specialize in bringing visions to life. That could mean designing and baking a one-of-a-kind cake, curating an entire party theme, sourcing décor, styling dessert displays, and coordinating all the details so the event feels seamless. Whether it’s an intimate baby shower or a big Sweet 16, I handle the creative details so my clients can just show up and enjoy. I’m known for my ability to combine style and substance. My cakes don’t just look beautiful—they taste amazing. My events aren’t just pretty—they’re personal. Every detail, from the flavor of the cake to the color palette of the decorations, is designed to reflect the client’s personality and story.
A lot of people can make a cake or throw a party, but I create experiences. I have an eye for detail, a heart for celebration, and a knack for pulling everything together in a way that feels effortless to the client. Plus, I truly care—I treat every event like it’s my own family’s celebration, and I think people feel that.
I’m proud that my brand feels personal and heartfelt. I built it from scratch, fueled by my love for creativity and my desire to make people feel celebrated. I’ve turned my passion into something that brings joy not just to my family, but to other families as well.
what I’d want people to know is that I’m here to make their vision come to life—stress-free and stunning. When they book with me, they’re getting more than just a cake or a party plan. Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
i would say planning my own sweet 16. my earliest and happiest memories are from the birthdays and celebrations we had growing up. I was that kid who wasn’t just excited about my own party—I wanted to be part of planning everyone’s party.
Even when I was little, I loved thinking about the details. That joy of celebration, that desire to make moments special for the people I love, never went away. In many ways, my business today is just the grown-up version of what I started as a child—only now, I get to use my creativity, design skills, and experience to make other people’s special days feel magical.
Looking back, it’s clear this was always my path. The passion I had for celebrating as a child has turned into a purpose: helping people create memories that last a lifetime.
