Today we’d like to introduce you to Zahira Stansberry.
Hi Zahira, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a Clinical Pharmacist, so science and health are very interesting to me. While in undergrad and pharmacy school, I developed an interest in Alternative Medicine and medicinal plants.
In 2018 my son developed a severe allergic cough and was prescribed a few inhalers, over-the-counter, and prescription medications. This experience made me look for an adjunctive therapy and that is when I discover Essential Oils. My son was able to find support to his respiratory system with the use of essential oils. From that day, Essential Oils became part of our daily habits.
Essential Oils have been great for me and my family. I have found Immune, respiratory, digestive, sleep, and emotional support. We all enjoy having our diffuser on at home during the day and especially at night when we need some relaxation after a long day.
In 2019 I decided to share my experience with others, so they can also find emotional and physical health support with Essential Oils.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a Clinical Pharmacist, a mom, and entrepreneur it not always easy. But with my husband’s support and a great team all of these has been possible.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a Wellness Advocate for Dōterra Essential Oils. I provide in-person and online educational opportunities describing different ways that Essential Oils can support our health. I also participate in Health Fairs and offer education on essential oils in social media.
While I love being Pharmacist, I also spend my time-sharing wellness and health with others. Dōterra Essential Oils is not only an oils company. It is a company of science and values.
This year I will be completing my Aromatherapist Certification, that way I can bring more knowledge to my business and my clients.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Many opportunities arise as you embark on a new career, and some may view this process as risk-taking. I view it instead as an opportunity for growth. Growth as a leader, an educator, and entrepreneur.
