Lafayette Albury of Winter Park on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Lafayette Albury and have shared our conversation below.

Lafayette , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, being a new mom has brought me the most joy! My baby boy just turned one, and I’m soaking up every cuddle, giggle, and milestone. It’s such a sweet season, and I’m truly cherishing every moment.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Faye, the owner of Haus of Lafayette Aesthetics, a luxury skincare studio in Winter Park that’s all about helping women feel like their most confident, radiant selves. I specialize in corrective skincare treatments, facials, and beauty services that are not only results-driven, but also deeply restorative. My approach blends high-performance treatments with a luxe, soul-centered client experience because skincare should feel like self-care, not a chore.

My journey started with a passion for beauty and an obsession with helping women age gracefully while feeling seen, heard, and valued. Every service at Haus of Lafayette is designed to be personal, intentional, and transformative so my clients don’t just leave with glowing skin, they leave feeling renewed. Right now, I’m working on expanding our offerings and creating new ways to elevate the client experience, both in-studio and through innovative skincare tools.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Definitely my grandmother. I lost my biological mom at a young age, and my grandmother has always been a powerhouse of beauty, class, and faith. She instilled in me a deep love for self-care. No matter what, she always kept herself up and prioritized her well-being, even while raising eight kids. She was career-driven, wore many hats, and was even a cosmetologist. She’s my inspiration. She’s always spoken life over me and poured so much wisdom into me from a young age. She truly saw my potential before I could see it myself.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Honey, you are perfect just the way God made you. You are not too much to love, and you are allowed to take up space. Your value goes far beyond the opinions of others. You were made to change lives, and just wait — every heartache, trauma, and loss is preparing you for the most beautiful, fulfilled life.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
One of the deepest truths I live by is that self-care is not an occasional act, it is a lifestyle. I believe in prioritizing my own well-being because I am worthy of holding space for myself and ensuring my cup is full before I pour into others. This is not selfish, it is foundational. It is the principle that allows me to show up with intention, excellence, and presence in every area of my life.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I believe God often places our destiny in the form of our greatest struggles. For me, I always longed for a safe space where I could be myself, feel valued, and truly be heard. Now, I’m living that calling by creating a safe, intentional space for women to pour back into themselves in their own way.
