We’re looking forward to introducing you to Andie Muller AIFD, PFCI, CFD, FSMD. Check out our conversation below.
Andie, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
It is my time.
Getting up, shower, coffee, makeup and hair, dressing and out of the door I go.
My day starts at 5 am – and I love it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Andreia aka Andie Muller AIFD, CFD, FSMD, PFCI, owner and lead designer of The Flower Studio Oxford, a boutique floral design studio in Central Florida.
My brand focuses on creating heartfelt floral experiences: from weddings and celebrations to workshops that inspires.
What makes The Flower Studio Oxford unique is my personal approach.
We believe every love story and occasion deserves beauty, no matter the size or scale. We don’t believe in minimums.
My design style blends modern aesthetics with timeless floral artistry, rooted in over 30 years of experience and a genuine passion for education and community.
Beyond the studio, I serve as the incoming President of the AIFD Southern Chapter and as an instructor at The Enrichment Academy in The Villages, FL – the largest retirement community in the USA, where I teach floral design classes for all skill levels.
I also mentor other florists through educational programs designed to help them grow their creativity, confidence, and business.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment that truly shaped how I see the world was during COVID.
When everything stopped.
There were no events, weddings, or celebrations: but the need for connection was still here.
We had our busiest Easter ever!
I began creating arrangements for people who couldn’t be together, delivering flowers that said “I’m thinking of you” when words weren’t enough.
That season changed everything for me.
I saw firsthand how something as simple as a single bloom could bring comfort, hope, and healing.
It also reshaped how I run my business and live my life.
I was working with my doors closed and no walk ins.
I became more intentional, focusing on purpose and connections.
COVID taught me to slow down, to value community, and to see beauty even in the hardest moments.
That perspective continues to guide every decision I make, both creatively and personally.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The biggest fear I’ve ever faced was starting over in a new country and wondering if I would ever be accepted as a professional.
Leaving everything familiar behind and building a new life from the ground up was terrifying, especially in a creative industry where relationships and reputation mean everything.
I honestly didn’t know anyone to be a mentor or to guide me.
As an immigrant, I had to prove myself twice, not just as a designer, but as someone who truly belonged in this community.
There were moments of doubt and countless closed doors, but I kept showing up, learning, and working harder than ever.
It paid off!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, absolutely!
The public version of me is absolutely the real me.
What people see in my work, my teaching, and my social media is a genuine reflection of who I am: passionate, creative, driven, and deeply committed to inspiring others through flowers and education.
But I’m also a very private person when it comes to my family and personal life. I believe in keeping certain parts sacred, not because I’m hiding them, but because they are my foundation, my peace, and my grounding force.
The public me is authentic, but it’s the professional side that I choose to share with intention.
The private me is the one who finds balance, restores energy, and reminds herself why she started this journey in the first place.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I made a difference in their lives!
Between the flowers, teaching and kindness, I want to leave the world a little more beautiful than I found it.
I want to be remembered as someone who shared her knowledge freely, lifted others up, and believed that success only has value when it’s shared.
That is for me, the secret of life: sharing is caring.
I want to be remembered as someone that inspired people to see beauty in the details, to create with intention, and to never stop learning.
And most of all, I hope people remember that I cared about them.
