Hi John, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My typical day as a hospice Chaplain is one of expecting those in my care to have passed. Then, we make calls and visits to the families to provide spiritual comfort. I never know who will leave this earth on any given day
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Dr. John Kirn Wenderlein II. I currently work as a Hospice Chaplain. I have written several books on the subject and have done countless interviews. I have a web page, Remembermejw.com, that best explains my heart.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
It was the moment years ago when I became a Hospice Chaplain and realized life is frail and we must live every moment as it is the best of our last.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d like you to be better focused. As these life things didn’t come to me later in life, and I see the end even closer as I age into my late 60s
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Quality of life. And how we live it to the fullest. In my profession, life is held even more dear.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Nothing. I find that my time is getting ever shorter, as Paul says in the Bible. He had run the race. I want to do my part and run the race till the end.
