We recently had the chance to connect with Enzo Mussolini and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Enzo, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
My Legacy, and the only way I plan to stop is when god decides my time is no more on earth. Until then I will be working to accomplish all my goals successfully a day at a time. For an example my marketing agency Orlandohiphop when I first started was just a local company in Florida and with my respected connections plus work ethic have expanded the brand to different countries from Canada To United Kindgom To Sweden etc and is still growing.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Enzo Mussolini and I am an entrepreneur. I am a recording artist, ghostwriter, producer, model, manager, independent label owner that runs multiple businesses. I was born in Florida, lived in California and traveled many places all thanks to the love of music. I am currently recording a new project to celebrate my recent partnership with recording label Rocnation. I am also building my Marketing Agency called Orlandohiphop where I work with different record labels and artists all over the world from UMG to Empire. My cousins Gucci and Lock have their own label TLVSD which is a branch off of OVO that is a major priority of mine as well. I am now also partnered up with the up and coming brand Pure Fuel Sport which recently became the NBA’s 76ers official sports drink. I also work with the legendary cannabis brand Cookies and helped promote openings of several of their dispensaries in Florida.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My late beloved sister definitely even in my early childhood memories she always was working. My sister taught me about responsibilities and how to save/make money. I mean she even dragged me to Bank of America to open up my first account. She was very super smart and always challenged me to be a better person in life.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Growing up I had a lot of ups and downs in my life. I remember times when things were good and we were living in a nice house and times things were bad and we were going from hotel to hotel. My mother was young and struggling yet she did everything in her power to keep food on the table for all of us. When you’re a child you may not understand everything at the moment so it can be easy to feel a certain way when you notice the times are tough. The trails and tribulations gave me character, made me become a man. I used all my pain and misfortune to create music that would turn the negative into a positive. I felt like music made me a super hero, it gave me power.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
It is easy to tell the difference with the feeling. When something is a fad or trend you can just tell there is no real substance behind it but when it’s real you can feel the authenticity. The things or people that pretend can only act for so long until the people realize it doesn’t hold any value like fast food but the real is like soul food something that stays consistent forever no matter what.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I inspired them in some kind of way through my life, my story, my journey. I always aspire to motivate as many people as possible with my music, with my art, and with my work ethic. I want people to tell the truth about how big of a heart I have and how I spent years helping people navigate their dreams. I want people to know that as long as you have god and faith you can accomplish anything you desire in life. I want people to know that life is like a mountain full of ups and downs you just gotta focus to keep going.
