Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Yulissa Ocasio.
Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
It all started when I was in High School! I had many disposable cameras with lots of rolls to get developed. As technology grew, my camera crew grew with it. I am blessed to have a strong support system; my husband bought all my main gear a full-frame camera, big flashes, and a professional lens. That is when I knew I had to take my passion for photography to the next step. I started doing many free photoshoots to begin adding content to my page and developing my editing skills. It has been a challenging journey, but practice makes it better. I am lucky to have amazing souls willing to work with me to practice all the ideas I have stocked in my head. If it weren’t for the amazing team by my side, I would’ve never been where I am today! Over 10k followers, a website, a lot of newer gear, options for indoor photography, and a beautiful backdrop all over Florida!
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
I’ve had many challenges and obstacles, but I have a personality that if it doesn’t challenge me, I do not want it! Obstacles and challenges have made my photography unique and different from others. Photography speaks so many languages that I wish each session to be a memorable experience with amazing, heartfelt memories. Having a full-time job is a big challenge, but I make time for what makes me happy: my clients, who book around my schedule! I would not say my family is an obstacle, but I am grateful they are understanding and supportive of my passion. I sacrifice my time with family to be able to book photoshoots, and they are 100% on board with it. I deliver my soul to each client, as word of mouth has magic!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I create images that will last forever. I specialize in capturing the best in my clients. I am proud to say I have an easy way of making humans feel comfortable around me, and they allow me to pose for them and create gorgeous photographs. I love helping others, so I will ensure you get your photo session at your price. I have a fixed price for each session, but I will make time and work with your budget, which always pays off. Happy client and a happy photographer; that’s unique about me. Also, any new ideas are always welcome! As I mentioned earlier, I love challenges.
What quality or characteristic is most important to your success?
Basic qualities are important, for example, honesty, morals, professionalism, integrity, and empathy, but my key to success is communication. If you are unhappy, I am unhappy. It is a huge success for me to love your pictures as much as I do. Therefore, if my clients prefer to avoid my photographs, I will make sure that I will do what’s in my power to change my mistakes and make them happy. My strong characteristics help me succeed. I am a creative individual who walks confidently to deliver my all. I am also curious and will always seek challenges to see where they lead me.
