Life & Work with Benjamin Broadway (HARD SELTZER TRAP) of Orlando, FL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Benjamin Broadway (HARD SELTZER TRAP).

Hi Benjamin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Hard Seltzer Trap about four years ago just sharing what I was sipping and where I was eating. It began as a fun way to review different hard seltzers and quickly turned into something bigger a place where I could connect with people who love trying new drinks and food just as much as I do.

Along the way, I built real relationships with brands and restaurants, and the page grew into a platform for honest reviews, fun reactions, and behind-the-scenes food adventures. Because of that work, I’ve been able to collaborate with major companies like High Noon Sun Sips, Sunny D Vodka, Noca Boozey Ice Tea, Good Boy Vodka, Tom’s Watch Bar Orlando, Kbob Street Korean Food, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, and more. I’ve also been lucky enough to meet some amazing people like 50 Cent, comedian Kountry Wayne, and Cheech & Chong, which still blows my mind.

At its core, Hard Seltzer Trap is about sharing authentic experiences whether it’s cracking open a new drink, finding an incredible local spot, or showing love to brands that are doing cool things. My long-term dream is to grow this platform into something even bigger and eventually work in marketing for a beverage or alcohol company.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. When I first started Hard Seltzer Trap, I didn’t have a roadmap just an idea and a passion for sharing new drinks and food spots. Growing an audience while figuring everything out on my own has been challenging.

One of the biggest struggles has been visibility and algorithms. Sometimes I’ll put hours into creating content, and it won’t get seen because of how platforms change I’ve even had times where I lost over 100k views in a week. It’s frustrating when the effort doesn’t match the reach.

Another challenge is balancing creativity with real life. I’m a one-person team filming, editing, networking, reaching out to brands while still working and taking care of the family. There have been plenty of late nights, self-doubt, and moments where I’ve questioned if it’s worth pushing but with the help of my wife, my friends and my brother Domino I kept going.

But every struggle taught me something. I learned how to pivot, adapt, and network. I built real relationships with brands and restaurants that trust me. And I’ve stayed committed to the bigger dream turning this passion for authentic reviews and storytelling into a marketing career in the beverage industry one day.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create food and drink content under the brand Hard Seltzer Trap. What started as casual hard seltzer reviews turned into a platform where I explore and share authentic drinking and dining experiences from trending beverages and ready-to-drink cocktails to hidden local food spots.

I specialize in honest, relatable reviews and engaging video content that make people feel like they’re right there tasting with me. My page is known for its fun but informative vibe real reactions, community interaction, and the ability to highlight both big brands and small local businesses side by side.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with major names like High Noon Sun Sips, Sunny D Vodka, Noca Boozey Ice Tea, Good Boy Vodka, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, and Tom’s Watch Bar Orlando, while also shining a spotlight on small spots like Kbob Street Korean Food. Along the way, I’ve connected with people I grew up watching like 50 Cent, Kountry Wayne, and Cheech & Chong which was surreal and motivating.

What sets me apart is my authenticity and community-driven approach. My goal isn’t just to review it’s to put food and beverage businesses on bigger platforms, help people discover great products and local gems, and build trust through honest, unfiltered content. I always try to connect with other food reviewers, but believe it or not, even with Orlando being such a huge space, I haven’t had a local content collab yet.

I’m most proud of how far the brand has come from a simple idea to real collaborations, a loyal audience, and a clear path toward my dream of working in marketing within the beverage and alcohol industry.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think over the next 5–10 years we’re going to see content creators in Orlando come together in a real way. Right now the scene can feel pretty divided everyone’s doing their own thing but there’s huge potential for community and collaboration.

I can picture creator events and meet-ups where people network, share tips, and support each other. Things like classes and workshops on linking with brands, creating better content, and growing your presence could be game changers. There’s a lot of knowledge here, but it’s scattered. I would

I also see leaders like @orlandoponqueen, @justpotus, @jjenk407, @beercutieandfoodie, @tastychomps, @onlyinclermont, @paigepbryant @orlandofoodfinders and others stepping up to give real game and help build the next wave of creators. That type of mentorship and collaboration would push the whole Orlando content scene forward and make it a stronger, more unified community.
