Today we’d like to introduce you to Brad Fletcher.

Hi Brad, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I read an article about this new marketing option for real estate called “Home staging”. We started our business in 2005 and since then have won 24 national and international awards for our Vacant Home Staging. During the past 20 years we went from two of us and a U-Haul shed to seven employees, two warehouses, a company truck and now have dozens of home staged at any give time. Our plans are to keep expanding to other areas of the state,

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road since we started. First, we had The Great Recession and during this time no one was selling, just a lot of foreclosures. After that though we really took off with double digit growth each year. Next came the pandemic. Most furniture you buy comes out of China or Vietnam. Because their factories were shut down during Covid-19 what furniture was available almost doubled in price. After the pandemic the real estate market went crazy with homes selling in days, sometimes hours. Now with our present policitcal climate we are seeing furniture prices increase dramatically again with limited availability. Luckily we’ve been able to move and groove through all of this and are now busier that ever.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My background is in marketing for high end apartment communities. This has given us an advantage in that I’ve shown thousands of people their perspective homes and observed any concerns and been able to turn that around. Home staging is simply marketing real estate to prospective homebuyers and a good staging company knows how to turn negatives in the home into positives through proper marketing and visual appeal.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
When it comes to home staging it makes me and my team really happy when we STAGE a home and it sells very quickly, especially if it’s been on the market for a while, we STAGE and then it sells. We also work with flippers that purchase dilapidated homes and it’s great to be a part of that process and see the home turn from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan while adding value to the neighborhood.

Personally, I love to cook and travel.
