Brandi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m the proud owner and founder of Life at Home Designs, rooted in Marion County for 17 years. My love for decorating began in middle school, where I’d constantly revamp my bedroom to give it a fresh new look. Although life took a different turn after high school, leading me to a 20-year career in social work as a dependency and adoption case manager, my passion for decorating never faded. In fact, it only grew stronger as I traveled and relocated. On the side, I’d stage and decorate my own homes to sell, creating warm and inviting spaces that allowed potential buyers to envision themselves living there. By decluttering, depersonalizing, and streamlining, I’d transform each space into a blank canvas. As friends and family noticed my natural talent, I began sharing my gift with others, and before long, my passion turned into a way of life. Whenever I enter a space, my mind buzzes with ideas – imagining the perfect design, décor, and color palette to unlock its full potential. Taking the leap to start my own decorating and staging business has been a dream come true. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to do something I love and share my passion for creating unique and meaningful spaces for families.

Starting a business can be a challenging journey, but for me, it’s about more than just success. It is about making a difference. Consistency, patience, and the drive to help just one person or family have become my guiding principles. Every time I get to make a positive impact on someone’s life through my work, it fuels my passion and motivates me to keep pushing forward.
