Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Davis
Hi Brian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
* Started golf at the age of 3
* Turned pro at 18 years of age and came to America for two years to compete, then earned my DP World Tour Card and played DP World Tour for 11 years
* Won qualifying school in America for the PGA Tour
* Played on the PGA Tour for 15 years
* Two of the 15 years, I was playing both PGA Tour and DP World Tour (formerly known as European Tour)
* Currently playing PGA Champions Tour in America and Legends StaySure Tour in Europe
* In January 2024, I started the Brian Davis Golf Academy at Stoneybrook West Golf Club in Winter Garden Florida
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, has been a smooth road like with most sports where you played the number of years that I have at the highest level. It takes its toll on your body through playing, practicing and travelling. I had possible career ending injuries which required surgery. I had neck surgery and back surgery and was able to get back to playing on the PGA Champions Tour in America and Legends StaySure Tour in Europe.

Started Brian Davis Golf Academy @ Stoneybrook West Golf Club in January 2024.
We specialize in all aspects of golf, from beginners, ladies’ groups, men’s groups, kids’ groups and corporate events.
What sets us apart is that I teach from all of my experience of playing at the highest level for 26 years.
That knowledge has been put into programs that we do, from beginner aspect all the way up to top elite golfers.
Our academy has programs for everyone in the family each week:
* Monday and Tuesday Ladies Group Lessons @ 4:30pm
* Wednesday Junior Group Golf Lessons for the more advanced junior golfer 4:30pm – 6:00pm
* Friday Men’s Group Golf Lessons @ 4:30pm
* Saturday Kids Golf Camp with 4 different classes from 8:00am – 12;00pm
We also offer personalized one on one lessons with myself and our other two coaches, Daniel Pachon and Andrew Arft.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
To play golf, especially at the highest level, you have to be willing to take risks all the time, even if they are calculated. This is the biggest challenge playing golf at the professional level, and the difference between guys that make it to the tour and guys that don’t. You have to be willing to put it all on the line, commit to the shot, and be able to deal with the outcome either way. That in mind, golf is like any business, you have to balance the books and that is what makes golf so tough and why only a few out of the millions that try, make it.
