Today we’d like to introduce you to Cara Hassler.
Cara, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I used to perform as a face character at the Walt Disney World resort. I also portrayed fairytale characters at Give Kids the World Village, serving children and families of children with terminal illnesses. I love creating magic for the children and children at heart so much. I deeply believe that those magical moments we create as performers can stay with the families for years and years, as some of their fondest memories. I believe those moments of joy and bliss can even provide hope during dark seasons of our lives.
When I left WDW, I started my own entertainment company with live mermaids, classic fairytale princesses, and superheroes! Our mission is to create magical moments that last a lifetime. And, we bring that magic directly to you!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but it has been magical and rewarding. It has been a journey of growth and discovery! First of all, self-growth. I have found I can’t lead an effective team if I’m not aware of my strengths and deficits. Knowing these helps me take charge of what I excel at and delegate what I struggle with.
I have learned the incredible value of motivating my team of amazing, gorgeous performers! It would be impossible to do what we do without them, and I am beyond grateful for them! I have learned the value of focusing on highlighting each performer’s strengths while helping them grow to overcome weaknesses.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We provide high-quality character entertainment to birthdays, business events, and city events! I have to reiterate my pride in my team! They are a group of the kindest, most graceful, and internally and externally beautiful women I have ever encountered.
I am also incredibly proud of my company‘s quality standards. I take great pride in hearing children, parents, and patrons gasp when my princesses, superheroes and mermaids arrive! Our costumes are incredibly high-quality, hand-sewn masterpieces. Many of them are embellished with sparkling Swarovski crystals and gems. They make the magic real for the children, who notice everything.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Express appreciation for your team! Express gratitude for your clients! Without these amazing people, your business is not possible. Every business is a people business!
