Life & Work with Christina Kiriakes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Kiriakes.

Hi Christina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I grew up in Daytona Beach, a quaint little beach town. I always loved living by Orlando growing up, I always thought the big city was so cool and very much alive. Every summer my family would come down from Illinois and we would spend some time at the beach, but the real fun was when we’d head over to the theme parks. This is where everything begun. I remember how much we would joke about how much my aunt would constantly be taking pictures, but all jokes aside, the pictures were my favorite part. From a young age I always loved having these pictures to reminisce on. They were (and still are) important to me because I never wanted to forget these precious moments that I subliminally knew would mold me forever. I honestly don’t know why my heart is filled with joy as a “content creator”, growing up I took many art classes through middle school, high school and went to art summer camps, this is another major factor of who I am and my love for “creativity”. In a way, I loved art and doing crafts but never had a true passion for physically creating drawings or paintings or anything in that sense.

As a child growing up in the 90’s my absolute favorite thing to do since I can remember was to use the computer, I remember I would stay up playing games online or reading celebrity gossip until my whole back ached, in a way I was addicted. I feel as if sometimes I still am with now having the internet at the touch of my fingertips, but I try to remember there is a whole world out there and it needs to be seen, using balance is a big key for me especially when it comes to the internet. But, at the same time, I want to be the best at it.

I want the world to see my “art”, a story that I tell them through pictures just fascinates me so much and I get pure joy out of creating outfits to help people become more confident, or show everyone where the best spot to take picture are, to make people know its okay to wear whatever you want that you think fits your style and not care what anyone thinks. I will feel extremely lucky if I can make it into a career someday, who knows what the future holds!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far, the journey has had some bumps in the way, but I try to remember no one is going to be a bigger fan of mine than myself. It gets hard not to compare myself to others who are all trying to do the same thing, Self doubt is in-fact my greatest enemy, I can’t expect to be everyone’s cup of tea and need to remember that,

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in beauty and fashion tips, theme park content, theme park style, travel, and fashion/picture inspiration. I try not to limit myself to just one thing, I like to branch out and try different things that I think I’ll be good at. It all ends up tying together though which is pretty neat.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I feel as if my personality is my most important characteristic for the road to success. I’m extremely bubbly and love making new friends! One of my favorite things to do is making people laugh and joking around, I really feel like life is too short to be serious all the time. Another blogger could dress half as good as me but could have the personality of a brick wall. I think people like more authenticity when it comes to social media, no one wants to support someone who doesn’t have the charisma or keep them entertained.
