Today we’d like to introduce you to Elena Vale-Saquieres.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The Beauty Bar started 10 years ago with a dream of bringing beauty to all. I found a need within my community and online from individuals who wanted to learn how to achieve the seemingly unobtainable makeup looks they saw on celebrities and online. I began 1:1 DIY lessons within my online community as well as in person and began to grow my following. Although it’s been a whirlwind since the start, we have created a beautiful family where we focus on empowerment, self-love, and learning. Our goal is to create our brick-and-mortar location which will provide a full beauty experience from hair, and makeup services, to spa and photography.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No journey is ever without struggle and personally, this journey although very rewarding has been a challenge to fit into my schedule. I am a nurse practitioner and I am currently in school to obtain my Doctoral degree so it has been difficult to find the time to invest in The Beauty Bar, family, school, and work. The amazing party however is making others happy and showing them that a beautiful soul is their most powerful weapon in today’s world! The Beauty Bar and our hope to create a brick-and-mortar location to bring our zest to the Orlando area are our driving force despite financial hardships, time constraints, and any bumps we encounter along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Although I’ve always had a passion for all things beauty- I am a nurse at heart. I am currently in school for my doctorate in nursing practice and hope to one day have my own practice. I have done photography and professional singing and have even been in televised singing competitions in Miami when I was younger. Beauty remains such an integral part of my life and I love being able to share my knowledge with others! I have a passion for healing and there’s nothing more important than feeling beautiful so I brought both of those passions together. I created my own makeup brand and launched my first collection in 2020 with a healthcare theme and am so incredibly proud and grateful to have created something which brings me so much joy!
