Today we’d like to introduce you to Estefany Perdomo.  

Estefany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
This whole journey started by accident I didn’t even know a couple of years ago that I liked the art of balloons and decorations, I’m originally from Venezuela, and I moved with my mom back in 2017 leaving all my close family and friends and starting from scratch in a New foreign country, 2 years later I met my husband and his great family that loved to get together and that always had an excuse to celebrate which I love! At one Christmas party, we decided to do a backdrop to take pictures with our ugly sweaters I didn’t have an idea how to do it, but I took the task, watched a couple of YouTube videos, and turn out pretty nice! Since that Christmas, I kept offering myself to do decorations for the gatherings, slowly but surely, I kept getting better with a lot of practice and passion and getting more knowledge of other colleges. I see Party decorations as a way to express love, like making a surprise to a loved one on their special day, today the hobby that I discover one day become in our small family business; I’m lucky that I have my family to support me and help me on this journey that is just beginning, we keep learning every day, we keep improving and we keep pushing to do better and better. We make decorations with love! 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s definitely constant learning, I think that we learn from our mistakes, and every experience has meaning for good or bad; the struggle of monetizing a hobby and educating the customers about all the work that takes to make an event is definitely something that I would say every party decorator has a deal with, some people would get it and some not and that’s ok! Is definitely a gratifying experience to do a party ambiance but is physically exhausting from the pre-work till the day of the event, it takes a whole week to do all the pre-work for an event plus the actual day of the event, so is not smooth at all every event even if you plan the small details we confront difficulties on the way like, weather conditions like we all know in Florida weather can change in seconds, so we try to advise our customers that have plans outdoors to always have a plan B. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are a family-run business that specializes in party ambiance for any type of events birthdays, weddings, baby showers, genders reveal, business openings, name it we do it! We serve all the central Florida areas, so if you see a pink truck on your way, that’s us! What we care most about is to make a beautiful and special place to celebrate any occasion that the customer would like it doesn’t matter how small or big the idea is we would do it and with a lot of love. 

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I try to be a positive person, so I see the risky decisions as opportunities, is definitely scary but you never know what are you missing if you don’t try, life is a risk every decision that we take is going to mold you into who we are. So why not try it?
