Life and Work with Gabriel Andrada

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Andrada.

Hi Gabriel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As a natural entrepreneur, it has always fascinated me to develop new business ideas and to explore new markets. Through the years, I have expanded my expertise in different areas, and I have chosen a real estate to be my career, which has helped me to learn a lot more about the City of Orlando. Not only is it a great business, but on a personal level, it is incredibly fulfilling to watch people make their home dreams come true, to listen to their stories, and to understanding what the perfect place for them will be. Since I have arrived in Orlando, this city has completely changed my life. I have met very interesting people, learned about the community, and experienced the great lifestyle people here can enjoy. The real estate market in greater Orlando is large and diverse, which is one of the many reasons why I’m so passionate about this city.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I believe that adversities are a part of any career choice, but I also believe that through hard work and ethics, solving problems become easier as one acquires more experience. Some of the most challenging situations I had to deal with when I first started had to do with the cultural changes. Being from Brazil has always allowed me to see the real estate market with macro eyes, which has helped me find solutions for the different needs that my clients have, such as owning a home where they will live with their families in, or finding the perfect income-producing property that will be lucrative throughout the years. However, there was surely a learning curve to understand the market: language, cultural background, and different needs, though exciting, were challenging to learn, especially in a city that is filled with international clients from all around the world.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Real estate is a very competitive market. In order to stand out, it is essential that agents need to go above and beyond to defend their clients’ needs. I believe that this is one of my strongest suits. As I often catch myself repeating: I don’t work for the deal. I work for my client. Whether it may be their primary home, a commercial property, or an income-producing home, such as a vacation home, I take pride in listening to my client’s needs, giving them honest expectations, and in doing my best to fulfill their dreams. My client’s interest becomes my interest, and I personally make sure that every step of the way is smooth sailing to them.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, my favorite childhood memories revolve around accompanying my father to work. Watching his leadership skills, fairness and kindness in dealing with his employees was a great example of how I would want to treat my team one day. I enjoyed learning more about the production steps and processes, but what truly stands out is that his ethics and morals have impacted me on a deep level in and out of the work environment. Of course, however, as a child, I did not see all of the benefits that this would have in my character long term, so having breakfast before the workday with him at the local bakery as my advanced payment was enough motivation for me to want to go.
