Life & Work with Goldie Baby

Today we’d like to introduce you to Goldie Baby.

Hi Goldie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I fell in love with hip hop when Lil Wayne released No Ceilings. At the time, I was in middle school living with my two little brothers and my single mom. I struggled all the way through high school getting in all kinds of trouble. I eventually graduated and had to give up on my dream of making it to the NFL. After that and a failed relationship, I decided to take rapping serious and now I’m two years into it. I’m still working my way to the top but I’ve gained a decent following and I’ve been steadily dropping hits such as FishScale, Choppa, and Fantastic. I believe that it’s only gonna get better from here.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve been homeless with no support and not a dime to my name so it hasn’t been a smooth road but I always come out on top thanks to the determination that I have stemming from watching my mom do everything on her own and never asking for help from anyone.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I make rap music, I’m known for having the craziest energy and spitting bars like crazy. I’m proud of the fact that I’ve developed my own sound which is no sound. None of my songs sound alike, I’m extremely versatile and I can easily hop on any beat with any type of artist.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
In the rap game, you have to take risks. It’s a risk every time you drop some new content. Someone’s gonna hate it ten times outta ten but you can’t let that stop you because there’s also someone that’s gonna love it. Risk is absolutely necessary in order to elevate in any and every aspect of life.
