Life & Work with Hannah Arida of Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Arida

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started the Orlando Girls Social Club on Facebook back in June 2023. I had been in other Facebook groups geared towards making friendships, however they never really panned out. I decided it was time to create my own group to help myself and other women in the Central Florida area find friends.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part the group has been “smooth sailing” – we have over 23 thousand members now and we’re STILL growing! Of course this doesn’t mean our group has been without challenges, either. I’d say the most challenging aspect at this point is the planning and execution of group sponsored events. We might get a lot of people to RSVP to an event, but then only a few will actually show. It’s disheartening sometimes, but I just try to tell myself that “the people who were meant to be here ARE here”.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I believe what sets the Orlando Girls Social Club group apart from other similar groups is our genuine commitment to helping other local women create social connections. I feel most proud when women post in the group “I found my tribe!” with photos and their success story about the group. It really makes me feel so happy to know that group members are finding friends!
