Life & Work with Hannah Grossman of Titusville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Grossman

Hannah , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was a young single mom 10 years ago trying to make ends meet while not having to send my child to daycare. I got into the service industry and worked my way up over the years until I became a bartender. Since then I’ve had 2 more kids, gone to school to pursue nursing, and started my mobile bar company. My dad passed away 2 and a half years ago and I went from working two jobs, 15 hour doubles, to basically working 1-2 days a week. Losing my dad was so hard and I felt so lost. I felt so guilty I was no longer the version of me I wanted to be, but I simply just couldn’t do it anymore. At this point I was a head bartender with a lot of stress from my job. Shortly after going through this I turned up pregnant with my 3rd child. During that time I was incredibly sick but still managed to work up until my last month of pregnancy.
The idea first came to my after working events at my last job. The plan was originally to get an LLC and invest into a trailer style bar. I quickly realized how much that would cost and began searching for other ways to make this dream happen. I was determined to do events, as that is what made me truly happy. For years I thought I strongly disliked everything about what I did, but turns out that was never the case. I actually love creating new and exciting cocktails and was never fully able to tap into my creativity while working dead end jobs.

I came back to work after having the baby and things had began to become very rough at my job. They kept coming up with reasons as to why our pay checks weren’t coming on time. They even started holding our tips from us, that were to be paid out weekly.

About a month before my breaking point, my power was turned off and we were told it would be $1000 to turn it back on. Since I had came back from the baby our pay was wrong and inconsistent and I was constantly getting behind on bills and other expenses due to lack of being paid.

The day I finally put my foot down and quit was the day I didn’t get paid and was told to come to work for my scheduled shifts. To this day I made the right decision, because had I gone to work that weekend I wouldn’t have had gas in my car to take my kids to school the following week.

That day I officially launched my business and haven’t looked back since. As of December 2024 I’m at around 120 hires. It has been a blessing to start this business and I am so much happier.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a learning experience for sure. I am still learning the ropes and trying to have grace on myself for learning as I go. I try to set goals and hold myself accountable for achieving those goals, regardless of the obstacles I have to go through. Currently I am seeing to hire out my social media and marketing as well as my bookings and leads. Once I do this, I think things will start going much smoother. Right now it’s just me!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I make craft cocktails for any occasion. I create signature drinks like his and hers cocktails for a wedding or pink signature drinks for a baby shower. I’m probably known best for my spicy Margarita’s, Mojitos, walnut old fashioned, white chocolate espresso martini. Any classic drink you like I’ll make it with my own twist. My mixology skills are what set me apart from others. I know what flavors go well and how to make different versions of cocktails. For example I can make you an old fashioned with anything from mezcal to tequila. Depending on flavor preferences of it

How do you define success?
Pushing forward and not giving up even when it gets hard. Having the willingness to learn new things as well

Pricing:

  • Minimum to hire $400
  • Minimum to hire for wedding $650
