Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Nelson.
Hi Jacqueline, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
With my background in PR and marketing, I always kept within the creative industry and had been doing experiential marketing for 8 years. The first few years in agencies and then at the end of 2018, I leaped and opened my experiential marketing agency. Things were great until they weren’t – COVID. I never wanted to give up on my first passion but I finally decided in 2023 it was time to broaden my horizon and explore more options to increase my revenue.
With my mom in the health insurance industry for over 10 years, I decided to follow in her steps but take it one step further – and this, I created Reliance Insurance Agency. With this new venture and dream, I decided I wanted to create an insurance agency that would expand beyond my family, we want to build this company to become a community of trusted agents groomed and trained to treat clients like their own family and hear and understand their needs.
With customer service always at the forefront and providing quality healthcare to all of Florida, I know we have the tools to become a local name everyone will know and trust. It’s been a great start and I can’t wait to see where it all goes. Oh, and I never give up on my dreams, instead of one I just have two now.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing great comes easy. Everything requires work and hurdles are always expected. But because of one giant hurdle named COVID, Reliance is here today.
Creating a trusted insurance agency is never easy, especially with all the scams in the industry, so naturally people are more trepidatious if they see our ad. With time, I know we can get through the ugliness of the internet and overcome all challenges to get where we want to be, patience and perseverance are all we need.

Reliance Insurance Agency is a boutique, family-owned agency working in Florida to help locals obtain quality, affordable health insurance.

We save them time and money, and we’re not happy unless they’re happy. Together we can make a happy, healthy world, and doesn’t that sound nice?
