Life & Work with Jenny P.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny P.

Hi Jenny, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After years of traveling and being away from home for work, I started documenting my daughter’s school lunches in 2017. I discovered a community of lunchbox enthusiasts on Instagram and it became a creative outlet for me. A writer for Popsugar.com shared one of my lunches and my page alongside several other moms that I admired and followed. My account grew quickly thereafter. Since then, I’ve been featured again on popsugar.com, the NY Post and now I’m a contributing writer for Tampa Bay Parenting magazine. I’ve also been a guest on The Zest Podcast, Great Day Live Tampa Bay and The Morning Blend Tampa Bay.

I still make and post lunches (almost daily) as well as create content for companies like Sprouts Farmer’s market, Horizon organic, and Target. It’s been so much fun!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It sure is fun to see your follower count go up and your reels get millions of views but that growth isn’t always off the charts or consistent. You have to navigate the dry spells, social media changes, and trends with care while staying true to yourself.

As an influencer you influence! And some people do a great job of tagging you in your images or giving you credit for an idea and some people just don’t. I like to share their content in my stories followed by my original post including recipes and tips! 😄

It was a scary morning when I accidentally gave my account away. (My husband quickly recovered it, thank God!) Always beware of scams and never ever give personal info away. You have to be diligent and look closer at accounts. Report and block anything or anyone suspicious.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create content (mostly in video form) with helpful tips and recipes for parents who want to pack delicious and healthy lunches for their kids.

My daughter is a teenager now so it’s less frills and more about the food. I also share protein snack boxes for my husband and my work lunches as well. I’m a great resource for families!

I am most proud of writing for Tampa Bay Parenting magazine. Seeing my work in print is definitely one of the most rewarding experiences so far. I’ve also met some amazing women in television. I am so proud to know the team at Great Day Live Tampa Bay.

What are your plans for the future?
My plans are to work both more with the partners I have and hopefully some new companies. I definitely want to continue writing. I am looking forward to a retreat this summer to finally meet and work with other bloggers in person!
