Life & Work with Jessica Bueno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Bueno.

Jessica is originally from Vitoria, Brazil where she got her Business Degree and started in the Beauty Industry in 2014.

She had her own beauty salon in her country and in the last five years, she has brought her Brazilian touch to America. She had her first studio in Orlando next to Universal Studios, and recently she opened a bigger space in Tampa – FL.

She also speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Jessica is insured, certified in Brazil and America and dual-licensed as a Full Specialist and Tattoo Artist with 22 certificates national and international.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely has not been an easy road, I didn’t spoke any English when I got here and took me over a year to learn the language to the point where I could start taking my beauty licenses.

Has been a long road, but I am really proud to keep making my clients smiling every single day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I feel like beauty runs in my blood because I have members of my family in the Beauty Industry as well. I started learning makeup and Brazilian blowout at 18 years old and I was always getting my friends ready to go party even before I had any training in the area.

Once I had my salon, I attended to my first Microblading training in 2016 and I just felt in love. I wasn’t scared at all and I knew it I had found my passion.

Today I do permanent makeup on eyebrows, lips, scars, stretch marks and areola reconstruction after plastic surgery or mastectomy.

My dream is to see the smile on the faces of strong women survivor from Breast Cancer after the procedure is done. I want to dedicate my life to this passion.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Don’t do it for money. Permanent makeup is a serious commitment that is going to last a couple of years or forever on your client’s body.

Study a lot, never stop training and do it for love!
