Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie Cunnion
Hi Jessie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Envy started almost 8 years ago (this June!!). What started as a “hobby” quickly became something more. I’ve always loved to plan, create and host beautifully curated and unique events for my family and friends, so it was hard to believe that this became my “job” so quickly. Executing one of the most important days of two people’s lives is truly a dream.
Today, Envy is a full team of Lead Planners and assistants, with hundreds of weddings and events under our belts all over the state of Florida and beyond.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think with any industry comes extreme highs and lows. I would say right off the bat, building your portfolio is hard! When you open a wedding planning business the first thing you want to showcase is your beautiful events, but most of the time those events can be booked, but then not happen until months down the line. So in the beginning, that was the trickiest part – how do we showcase our business when we have nothing to “show” just yet? All you need is one client to get you started and a few styled shoots 🙂
Additionally, the year of 2020 was hard for us. Not necessarily as a business, but the heartbreak that came with rescheduling or even canceling our clients’ events. As wedding planners, our clients become our people! Our friends! So to see so many people go through that process was truly a challenge when it was completely out of our control.
I do believe all of these challenges have only made us stronger as a business and a team.

Envy is an event planning a design company in Florida and beyond. Our clients can expect a curated wedding planning and design experience based off of what package they choose. We believe that a couple’s engagement should be a time they look back on fondly and they shouldn’t be stressed throughout any process of the wedding planning journey. Their wedding planning experience should be full of excitement, joy and anticipation. Most importantly this fleeting season of life should be about the celebration of their love and the future that awaits them. However, we do understand that every couple has different needs – which is what we believe sets us apart.
No matter the kind of wedding planning process they want to have – be it DIY planning or enlisting us for full service planning – it is our top priority to provide you with the guidance, tools, resources and support they need to make it the best and most unique experience possible. Our packages are completely customizable, catering to individual needs, since everyone’s wedding planning journey is different!
What are we most proud of? All of the weddings we have under our belts. It truly is an honor to see someone’s special day come to life. It never gets old 🙂
