Life & Work with Katrina Burgos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Burgos.

Hi Katrina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My love for the kitchen started with my grandmother. She use to always cook and bake and would always let me help her. That continued well into my teens. Fast forward I had a family and always loved to bake but it wasn’t till my daughter had a school project that brought Enchanted Delicacies to light.

She had to write down her life goals and one of them was to open a dessert food truck. It was like God finally said it was time to follow his path for me. The next day everything fell into place, name, paperwork, menu, etc. It has been the most incredible journey that I get to enjoyed with my family.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Since the moment that the seed was planted, it has been a smooth road. Everything I had gone through had led me to this. With God and faith, my passion for baking and serving others has been exhausting yes but worth it. He has made it all possible.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Enchanted Delicacies is a family-owned company. We all play a role and have grown together as a stronger unit which is so amazing. We specialize in Custom Cakes, Cookies, and Macarons. I believe what sets us apart is that we love to serve our community. We know that without Christ and our community, we would not have made it so far.

We pride ourselves in ensuring that everyone feels special whether it be a birthday, wedding, or on a Tuesday because Monday sucked, and that everyone should be able to enjoy delicious desserts for any moment in their lives at any budget. We offer great packages for any event, we will soon be offering classes on cookie decorating which we are so excited for!

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be watching my grandmother in the kitchen.

Listening to old salsa and just watched her in the kitchen as she cooked and baked. She was always so happy and with everything she made you could just tell it was all made with love. Sitting down with my whole family talking and laughing and enjoying the food and desserts.
