Hi Kenzi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Ever since I was little, I have loved taking photos of other people and life in general. People always turn to me when somebody says, “Can someone take our photo?” My mom always says I have a unique eye for it, but everything comes naturally to me. Now that I’ve been doing it full-time for over five years, there’s much more to love about capturing someone’s big day or milestones.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been pretty smooth and a fantastic journey; I love meeting new people whenever I arrive at a session. Ive yet to come in contact or have a bad experience with anyone.
Thanks for sharing that. Can you tell us more about your work next?
I am a lifestyle/wedding photographer locally in Volusia County, Florida. I’m known for family or maternity photography. That’s my bread and butter; I love doing those sessions. They’re so much fun. I love it when someone inquires about a huge family reunion – I know 10-15 people sound hectic, but seeing everyone’s different personalities, I like to keep it light and fun for each session.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
It’s not always about how many advertisements you put out or pay for; the best people are from word of mouth.
