Life & Work with Kevin Abdin of Casselberry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Abdin.

Kevin Abdin

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started writing, and taking pictures when I was in 10th grade. When I got to college, I created my first story, which is now a Part of a collection of stories I have created, called THINK, which will be coming soon. I’m the midst of things, I got bigger into photography about two years ago, and since then have learned my style, how to edit and use photoshop to enhance them as myself. I’ve always seen myself doing creative activities but photography, and writing evolved me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No road is smooth if you see a kingdom at the end of it. I have enjoyed my struggles, they have taught me so much, and helped me advance my skills. The vision I see for myself in the new future requires a lot of work, and sacrifice. I hope for smoother, but I am not complaining one bit.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My big goal, dream, project is having my storyline published, and noticed by Universal Halloween horror nights. I have dream of having my own haunted house since I was a child, and now having this amazing, mind, twisting, and original idea that I have created, I would love to work with them. I love, helping people, relating, and connecting, so I hope I can tie my work to my passions and make dreams into reality. From what I hear, I am known to be everyone’s safe person to talk to, and friend, so I would love to be able to spread myself and spread my love with the world.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
The biggest resources that have helped me throughout this journey have been Tim Burton, and I mean everything of him, from the art to the movies to the music. Johnny Depp has always been my Hollywood Idol, and The Weeknd ( Abel tesfaye ) Is My biggest inspiration when it comes to the creativity, the storyline, and the feelings he can create in the matter of minutes. Steven Spielberg and RL Stein both have influenced my life for as long As I can remember. I believe I’m the only one in my family that loves, and analyzes movies for how they were made, and what the story truly means, and those two directors/authors have created masterpieces with their movies and books, and I strive to be like them one day.
