Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Vorhees. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Fabricate is an Orlando Metal band forming in 2017. Guitarist/Vocalist Zach Loftin answered a Craigslist ad from Lead Guitarist Kevin Vorhees. Both discovered the similar taste and love for heavier styles of music. In late 2018, the inclusion of Jezer Medina on Bass and Christian Assunto on Drums. Fabricate finally formed its true original line-up. Blending styles of famous bands like Gojira, Meshuggah, and Mastodon. With the inclusion of elements from all sub-genres of metal. In 2021 Fabricate released their debut E.P “Welcome Home” with major success. Fabricate has been featured through news outlets like “New Fury Media” who have stated, “it won’t be long before this band is on your radar”. Fabricate’s music blends the emotions of fear, anger, and aggression towards personal insecurities and world issues that we all deal with on a daily basis. Fabricate has begun to play with national act bands as of recent including bands like Dropout Kings and BroJob. Even though the music is aggressive the members of Fabricate stay true to themselves and stay humble through any success that is given.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I believe anyone in the music world has faced setbacks in this industry. We are not different this includes rewriting an album because the original one sucked. However, for us, we have learned from it if we would have gave up. Our E.P that released in 2021 wouldn’t have happened. We are very lucky that four guys get along like brothers and are willing to sacrifice to make our dream come true. We understand all the twist and turns happen for a reason. We have played shows where it was only the bands were in attendance. We have played in front of crowds where it looked like you couldn’t fit any more people in the club. At the end of the day, we know it’s a process.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are a Metal band that is trying our best to not sound like anything else out there. We really try to express ourselves with every note we play. Music to us is like give a voice to the voiceless. We express what has been trapped inside for years with every lyric, riff, and hit of drums.
