I am a hip-hop artist, producer, engineer, and minister of the gospel. My journey with music started at a very young age, but it wasn’t until 2022 that I began releasing music under my stage name, KRL. Over the past two years, I’ve been blessed to turn my passion for music into a full-time career—one that I’m still building every single day.
It hasn’t been an easy road, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the honor of having my music placed in a short film, working with Grammy-nominated and Billboard-charting artists, producers, and engineers, and even reaching millions of streams with my own personal music. From riding in a go-kart with Leslie Brathwaite during my college days to working alongside legends like Rodney Jerkins, my journey has been nothing short of amazing.
Every day, I wake up grateful to do what I love, and I’m excited about what the future holds. I’m committed to continuing to push boundaries, grow as an artist and minister, and create music that resonates with people worldwide.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, but that’s to be expected—it’s part of the journey, just like any entrepreneur faces. The road has had its fair share of bumps, from financial struggles and challenges with expanding my reach to establishing social credibility and even battling with self-confidence.
There were moments when I questioned if I was truly capable of becoming everything I aspire to be. But through it all, I’ve held onto my faith, knowing that as long as I keep God first, work as hard as I can, and stay committed to my purpose, He will make the difference.
I’ve seen Him open doors that I couldn’t have imagined, give me favor with the right people, and place me in the reach and eyesight of those who can push my career forward. The journey hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been worth every challenge because it’s taught me to trust the process and lean into God’s plan for my life.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is knowing that I haven’t allowed the negatives in life to outweigh the positives. Each day may not be perfect, but I find joy in being mature enough to learn from my mistakes and turn life’s lemons into lemonade through consistency and dedication to my calling and craft.
Keeping God first in all that I do brings me peace, and being intentional about loving everyone within my sphere of influence to the best of my ability every day fills my heart with purpose. Knowing that I’m making progress, growing, and staying true to my values is what truly makes me happy.
